And one more thing Black... I've found that there seems to be an issue with deleting playlists once you create them. They would delete on my system. Not sure why. Also a few of my movie trailers won't play. Like the system is'nt finding them in the root folders. They work in the other themes.

Because of this error? How to fix?

dwayned Wrote:First off, let me say thank you Black for the best theme I've ever seen for XBMC, This is fantastic. I've been using XBMC for some time now and have only ever used The AEON theme. Which is also really nice but you've totally out done yourself on Xperience 1080. Everything is really well done, well thought out obviously. Just one question though, why have you change the homescreen options from being overlapping like the actual Xbox dashboard / your older version (like the poster panel view?) I really like that view for the homescreen. Blush

Now for the bad news, Sad Sorry.

I've been testing this on the new Eden 3 beta, and am not really sure if this is a Eden issue or an Experience 1080 issue. I've been looking through setting and options, and trying to perfect this setup for my HTPC. For testing "ve been using the "Real Steel" Theatrical Trailer from Yahoo Movies. Video resolution 1920 width with 800 height, and have found that when playing in Xperience the videos are stretched. I guess this is all due to the video calibration setup. I've tried everything to fix this. I'm trying to send some images to show whats been happening but having issues on my end.

Ok Black (And anyones else who could help)Big Grin I finally got the images ready for upload.

OK so this is what the video looks like at right resolution 1920x800 in Media Player:

And below we find what the video looks like in Xperience:

Image

This is what the calib look like for stretched video:

Image

See clearly not a square.

But with the calib as is my poster view is fine as shown below:

The posters seem fine with those settings though:

Now with my calibration as shown below:

Image

A much better looking square. And below you will find what the video looks like with above calibration:

Much better video in Xperience but the issues pop up elsewhere:

Poster view:

See trimming in wall view:

The startup screen and dashboard:

As you can see when video is fine posters are off, loading icons are skewed.

So thats it... I hope theres someone who can help me with this issue. Again my resolution is 1920x1200 native.

The easiest would be if you set the resolution to 1080p and the scaling on your tft to 1:1. If not, did you set the pixel ratio in the video settings to 1.11 as Slurrrp suggested?

- krish_2k4 - 2012-02-15

@dwayned: I had the same problem, regarding video playback being stretched do the following and see if it works.

System >> Videos >> Playback >> Turn on "Adjust display refresh rate to match video"

The video should refresh into the correct aspect ratio depending on the source. Scale the video calibration so it is 16:9 so all your artwork fits.

- `Black - 2012-02-15

That setting has nothing to do with the aspect ratio, it changes the refresh rate of the display (Hz) to match the fps of the video:

Quote:Activate to automatically set the refresh rate which is best matched with the video that is playing (default off). This potentially allows for perfectly smooth video reproduction, as video material can be recorded in a variety of frame rates (23.976fps, 24fps, 25fps, 29.97fps, 30 fps, etc.) which need to be properly matched by the refresh rate of the display, in order to be displayed smoothly

`Black Wrote:That setting has nothing to do with the aspect ratio, it changes the refresh rate of the display (Hz) to match the fps of the video:

worked for me though, when it is disabled the video gets stretched because of the video calibration, when it is enabled the screen refreshes and the video plays in normal aspect ratio.

Slurrrp Wrote:Did you also change the pixel ratio in the video settings?

Hey Slurrrp, man... I don't know how much o thank you man! That pixel ratio thing worked perfectly! Now I have my screen set to native resolution 1920x1200 with calibration at 1.111 and pixel ratio at 1.11 and finally, MY VIDEOS LOOK GREAT!! Thanks again man.

@Black, thanks for your input on the issue, and thanks again for a great theme. Thanks to everyone else who shared their thoughts on the matter. I'll try and help as much as I can with any concerns I find popping up on here. I'm not gonna be switching from this theme anytime soon, can't wait for the final build.
