XBMC Cannot See WMS - cheezehead - 2011-09-06
I have XBMC set up on my Apple TV 2 (with 4.3) and for some reason when I scan for upnp servers for movies, it only shows my windows pc's and not the WMS server.
WMS has ability for DLNA 1.0 or 1.5, and I tried both, to no avail.
Anyone using WMS as a media server to XBMC? I know that XBMC can server up from my windows pc, and I tried that and it works great, but XBMC server doesnt play happy with PS3. I see a lot of unsupported format movies on the list when I use my PS3 to hook up with XBMC.
If anyone has any tips on either one of these, it would be a great help. I hate having to run 2 different softwares for 2 different devices.

why not just turn SMB on in the WMS?

or do you mean a Web Map Service?
