- cbr600ds2 - 2011-10-28 23:03 tried scraping tv again and it doesn't work they way you described. XBMC doesn't do a great job of fulfilling the back-end of scraping. - MariusTh86 - 2011-10-28 23:14 If you can find info for a tv show, then XBMC should be able to scrape for episode information through the TVDB. This does currently require XBMC to receive an active connection to the internet, the TVDB being up and ready to be scraped for info, and the info of the specified episodes to be available in the TVDB. So check to see if all the above are true, then try refreshing the episodes in XBMC. I've been following about 106 TV shows using the english database language settings, and so far i've always been getting positive results for my tv shows. Let me know what your settings are. - preproman - 2011-10-28 23:29 MariusTh86 Wrote:If you can find info for a tv show, then XBMC should be able to scrape for episode information through the TVDB. This approach is actually working great for me. XBMC finds all the eps. and names them. On a side note. When will ViMM 0.6 be out? I really need the movie sets. Can you figure out a way to load a shared drive with 3,000 movies? Can it take a load like that at one time? - MariusTh86 - 2011-10-28 23:46 ViMM 0.6 will take a whole new approach to loading movies which also enables it to 'deep-search' for movies, so it might be able to do it, but i'll have to leave the testing of that to you guys when it comes out. ![]() I can't currently give an estimate on when it'll be out, since i'm working on trying to implement a lot of the new and requested features such as the deep search for movies, 'episodes' and of course 'sets', next to rewriting most parts of it to improving them. All in all, it'll probably take a while, but if all things go according to plan, it'll be the best update yet.
- prophetizer - 2011-10-29 16:17 oh man, don't do too much at once, i'm not using the software to rescrape everything again, since it deleting all my info already, until some of those options that won't prompt me to delete aren't there. just takes too long to redo it. this news stinkers - idioteque - 2011-10-29 16:58 Hi, I found a bug when a source is not available: Some TV shows are stored on a Mac Mini and it goes to sleep after x minutes: When I start ViMediaManager and the source is offline the following error occurs: http://screencast.com/t/UFcQZsxo - MariusTh86 - 2011-10-30 10:19 Ouch, I thought I had handled sources disappearing, was the preferences already open when it happened? - idioteque - 2011-10-30 10:32 not sure. the screenshot I made was done without any options of doing something is ViMediaManager. I did not open the prefs myself Command line options - kyleh0000 - 2011-11-02 01:07 Hi All first off all this is a great app! its just what i have been wanting. I was wondering if there was any command line options for this app? I'm wanting to use it in a script to automatically rename my media? Also I was wondering if the source for the application was available? I have done a lot of programming in windows and I'm looking to start learning programming for OSX so if you willing to provided the source I would like to give it a try! Thanks! - cbr600ds2 - 2011-11-02 03:02 MariusTh86 Wrote:If you can find info for a tv show, then XBMC should be able to scrape for episode information through the TVDB. What settings are you using? Do I have to delete all the nfo and tbn for each episode? I'm not getting XBMC to update scan using your method. Now it just doesn't think that I've added any new episodes. |
