Both cocoa and intel are the latest nightlies, intel is slightly more stable, while cocoa is somewhat faster and has better graphics, especially on retina screens. ^^

I suppose you'll be getting some inspiration along the way. ;-)

OK thanks,

Im currently trying to work out a way to do the layout of your list in vb.net or c#.net but not sure how, i mean the bit with all the icon's below the title of the show/film. ofcourse i won't copy you but.... yeah Big Grin

Not sure how those work, but I painted them at the textpaint event of the listbox, if that's of any help?
If you can download REALStudio, you can take a look at the source code: ;-)

Bug report:

With the newest nightly (Intel) ViMM is crashing while updating new episodes. The crash always occurs when ViMM has to deal with multipart episodes (for example Adventure.Time.S01E01E02.*).

Thanks for the program!

Could you send me the bug-report?
also, try this build to see if it's been fixed: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ayz7jj2levffeb3

You're welcome. Wink

Where can i find a log file? The application crashed without an error message.

With the new build, there is a new error message called "Failed to transform XML into JSON file" - also just with the shows with such multipart episodes (but after i click a dozen times "OK" the updating process continues).

Furthermore the Updating New Episodes functions seems broken in general. My new episodes are not updated, when i choose the "Update Metadata - New Metadata" or when i try to update a single tv show with right click update - episodes...

I caught the bug before it could generate an bug report, this new build should show up the bug reporter that can send me all the information I may need to fix it:

I think I have come across an error ?

Version Intel 0.75

I am slowly migrating over to ViMM, gradually moving and processing all my films in batches. When doing a "Put Movies Into Folders" it would not put any .img files into folders?

Keep up the good work!

The extension for your image files are '.img'?

ViMM recognises 'extra' files such as images only if they have the same name as the movie file in their name.

So ViMM would find this movie file:
Back to the future (1985).avi

and would be able to match the following files:
Back to the future (1985).jpg (.png, .Huh)
Back to the future (1985)-folder.jpg (.png, .tbn, .Huh)
Back to the future (1985)-fanart.jpg (.png, .tbn, .Huh)
etc.

The extension shouldn't really matter though, as long as the extra file or image file has at least the exact same name as the movie file without file extension in it's name, it should be moved.

The file is (NO laughing...it's the wife's film....)

Beverly Hills Chihuahua (2008).img

It's a NDIF Disk Image I think it's Apple related? So I think it is correctly named - but still no joy. ViMM manages everything else perfectly, .iso's etc.

Ah, the '.img' is a video file, haven't come across that extension yet, i'll add it to the list of possibilities. Wink

RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - BillyBunter - 2013-03-24

Sorry, me again Blush

Is there any way to turn off the automatic renaming of film titles? Just one example I have come across :-

Trinity Is STILL My Name! (1971) .avi

Is changed to the original Italian title of :-

•..continuavano a chiamarlo Trinità (1971).avi

Which is fine I guess, but can you see the extra large '.' it put at the beginning?

Another one is :-

Wo hu cang long (2000).avi

After a lot of head scratching It turns out is it Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon! I don't think I would instinctively look for Wo hu..

Thanks for the .img support! good man!

BB

RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - MariusTh86 - 2013-03-24

The extra large dot is there because filenames under Mac OS X that start with a normal '.' are invisible, and one might still want to know that a file started with a dot, In my case, I wanted an anime called '.hack//SIGN' to at least be called '•hack//SIGN' since the dot is really part of the show's name, and at least • is save to use.

Can't really change the latter one, apparently you choose to use 'original title' for names, and the original title for the foreign movie called "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon!' appears to be 'Wo hu cang long'.
If you want it to be named as the title rather then original title, you should use $T instead of $O. ;-)
