Is there any working alternative to this please? Thank you!

:edit: Just found the music video database mq which seems to be working nicely so happy days! Smile

RE: [Release] TheConcertDB.org - Ferdi-T - 2013-09-19

Whoops. After working fine for quite some time, the plugin now refuses to connect to the server on multiple machines.

Something going on somewhere?

"Unable to connect" here too.. Whats going on?

RE: [Release] TheConcertDB.org - scudlee - 2013-09-19

The 2.1 API for themoviedb.org has been "officially retired".

Any scrapers that still use it will no longer work, and need to be updated to use the version 3 API.

RE: [Release] TheConcertDB.org - Ferdi-T - 2013-09-19

Cool, thanks for the reply.

Aside from waiting for an updated addon, is there anything that can be done (such as manually editing the addon in order for it to work with the new api)?

RE: [Release] TheConcertDB.org - scudlee - 2013-09-19

Pretty much every regexp in the scraper needs to be rewritten, as the current scraper uses the xml output of the 2.1 API, whereas the version 3 API only outputs JSON - a completely different format.

No easy fixes, sorry.

RE: [Release] TheConcertDB.org - Ferdi-T - 2013-09-19

Aw, that sucks. Just when I just ripped a bunch of concerts. Rofl

I remember reading somewhere in the beginning of the thread that the concertdb-scraper is basically the normal tmdb-scraper (for movies), with one line of code changed. Does this still apply, and does the current tmdb-scraper work with api3?

Yeah, I'm being desparate. And creative. Wink

RE: [Release] TheConcertDB.org - scudlee - 2013-09-19

...That might work. Try just copying the tmdb.xml file from metadata.themoviedb.org into metadata.theconcertdb.org and renaming it tcdb.xml.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

(I'm assuming the "one line" is the one in the addon.xml that tells XBMC to use it for music videos rather than movies.)

RE: [Release] TheConcertDB.org - Ferdi-T - 2013-09-20

I'm assuming the same, although I'm not quite sure which line user Olympia's remark was in reference to. Still trying to figure it out:

https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/blob/master/addons/metadata.themoviedb.org/tmdb.xml
https://github.com/mad-max/TheConcertDB/blob/master/tcdb.xml

RE: [Release] TheConcertDB.org - scudlee - 2013-09-20

If you copy the entire metadata.themoviedb.org folder and edit the addon.xml to change the id (line 2), the name (line 3), and importantly, change the extension point (line 13) to "xbmc.metadata.scraper.musicvideos". Name the folder the same as the new id, and you're done.

You then just need to change the content on your Concert source folder to use the new scraper you've created.

That's what I'd do, anyway.

RE: [Release] TheConcertDB.org - Ferdi-T - 2013-09-23

Scudlee, thanks a bunch. It totally worked.

For anyone trying to apply the above: at first it didn't work because I gave line 3 the same name as the original scraper. When I changed the name to something else it scraped fine.

Btw, is there anywhere I can upload the reworked zip to? It might safe other people some time.

Ferdi-T,
I just sent you a PM with my mail address. Sent me the zip and I will post it online.

RE: [Release] TheConcertDB.org - VelvetKevorkian - 2013-09-27

with the scrapers posted so far, i mostly get the error "unable to connect to remote server" (i guess that's that api thingy mentioned above).
the one Rouzax posted does scan my folder, but nothing gets scraped.

do i need to name my files in a specific way?
i have all files in one folder called "concerts" with names like "ACDC.Live.At.River.Plate.2011.720p".

RE: [Release] TheConcertDB.org - Ferdi-T - 2013-09-30

Does this happen to a number of files, or all of them?

In the specfic case of ACDC I ran into the same trouble, as TMDB lists them as AC/DC (with a slash), something which my file explorer refuses to accept in the filename. So for ACDC I always resort to creating an nfo-file with the url of the TMDB-page. Wiki: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=NFO_files#Create_an_.NFO_file_.28recommended.29

As for other files: I generally find that the scraper scrapes rather fine, but sometimes needs some clutter to be removed from the filename. In that case artist name and dvd-title scrape fine.
