I created simple web app for Google Chrome to easily launch Maraschino (it uses default port but download also contains manifest file so you can change it.)
Here is how it looks like: http://i.imgur.com/bTD61.jpg
Download: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/16448148/HTPC/Extensions/Maraschino.zip
After download finishes simple drag and drop .crx file to Chrome

Been messing with the media module.
Added Music Library
Added ability to queue songs/episodes/movies
Moved update/clean video library to relative sections and added update/clean music library
The queue parts may need some cosmetic touchups but it should be functional..
anyone willing to test?

Iam using Win7 and I want to start Maraschino with Eventghost I tried to start the shortcut as application but I get an error that its no win application bla bla.
Anyone know how I can do that preferably hidden so I dont have the window in the taskbar.

I've had a quick read back through and can't find what o/s you are using for either the htpc or the machine trying to control from or what browser you are using?
Could you give more info and i'll see if i can recreate your issue.
By the way it works perfectly (for me) on windows 7 to another windows 7 machine or ATV2 using either chrome or firefox beta 10.

Hello. I am having some issues. I was trying to add a module (trying my hand at python) and then I rebooted maraschino and now I can't get it to come up, just fails silently:

Server running Maraschino - Win 7
Notebook I am accessing Maraschino from remotely - Win 7
Almost everything else works well (e.g., I can access my movie library and I can also start, pause via the "normal" Maraschino interface). Just the new cool remote function gives me an error message.

What browser are you using? Do you have a firewall? XBMC's eventserver runs on port 9777. Do you ever see a "Detected new connection - Maraschino" on you XBMC?
