- noobnas - 2012-02-29 10:58 sorry to ask this question, but i really can't go through reading 27 pages of this thread ![]() I really need a player for my kids to watch their videos:- Can the raspberry easily handle all video formats? Can it easily do 1080p? Can it be used as a NAS? thanks again - Jimmer - 2012-02-29 11:13 noobnas Wrote:sorry to ask this question, but i really can't go through reading 27 pages of this thread It's an experimental piece of kit, just released and xbmc on it will be buggy to start with. I expect it will require tinkering, bug reporting, generally rolling up your sleeves and getting involved. No offence, but if you can't even be bothered to read the thread then I doubt your ready for the level of commitment this will require to start with! Better to wait for others to test/iron out the bugs for you..... - zag - 2012-02-29 11:30 Grabbed mine from Farnell pre order. Latest is they will be shipped on 26th march. - jhsrennie - 2012-02-29 11:32 The Raspberry Pi made it to this morning's BBC Radio 4 Today programme! JR - Toontrooper - 2012-02-29 13:04 It's confirmed, there out of stock! ![]() Just called Farnell after hours of trying to get on the website, only to be told by an automated voice that they are out of stock. - castalla - 2012-02-29 14:13 Unbelievable shambles ... trying to register on Farnell's Spanish site ... endless internal server errors Somebody didn't think this one out before pressing the Start button! - noobnas - 2012-02-29 14:16 Jimmer Wrote:It's an experimental piece of kit, just released and xbmc on it will be buggy to start with. NONE TAKEN! ![]() The thing is Jimmer mate that i've spent a good couple of weeks doing my head in trying to sort out xbmc on my htpc...i eventually got there, thanks to our great friend JHSRennie and others. i am for the moment just enjoying my setup and although it still has few issues to iron out, i'm extremely happy with it. - pumkinut - 2012-02-29 14:47 pettergulbra Wrote:I`m not verry good at specs, but I tnink this would be better. Little more expensive, but: The point of the rpi is not about specs. - krish_2k4 - 2012-02-29 14:56 PaulC2K Wrote:Got my order in, 90min of f5'ing between pages & order processing £29.46 wtf!
