mad-max: you are correct - I missed that. Though I don't have any knowledge of keymaps/keyboard.xml's.

If you could give it a go that would be awesome.

I think i'll give the quick start guide a go next, see if I can't get it more concise and easier to read (http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=XBMC_Quick_Start_Guide) - not that it is that bad in the first place.

Grr,

I'm trying to link here:
http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Category:Installation

So I tried [Category:Installation|here] and it doesn't work. How to I link to the page?

Cheers

For catagories put a colon in front to force it as a link (rather than adding that page to the category). For example:

:Category:Installation|here (wiki)

Cheers Ned, for the life of me I couldn't find it - probably says something about me.

I've removed the wait time for uploading images. Brand new accounts can now upload images. Anyone feel free to upload screen shots! We both need brand new ones and replacements for the outdated ones. You can go to an existing image and there will be a link to "upload a new version" if you want to just update.

Hi Ned,
I'm (very) slowing working through wiki's.

One thing that struck me is you use of youtube videos could be invaluable (so people can just watch in 1 minute how to add media (for example).
E.g. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkWYxqoOF3c

Would it be worth setting up an "official" XBMC channel, i'd be more than happy to provide videos (recorded by computer not camera).

Cheers

Took advantage of that!

(I'm quite proud of my new layout)

pseudo,looks good...
maybe every step of the screenshots below each other...
my webbrowser on my notebook had quite a large horizontal scrollbar...

Cheers dude!

Hmm, I did think of that.
I thought it looked better next to each other so the page wasn't so long but it is pointless when you have to scroll horizontally.

Really just need some slideshow with captions.

Out of curiosity mad-max, how wide is your web browser window on your note book (in pixels)

Having browser in fullscreen is 1280x720...latest Firefox stable...was also reproducable with my opera 11...

Cool, should fit now.

Though I do think I should arrange them differently without listing them one under each other (making the page seem really long) - I'll have a think.

Anyway, the some total of my work on that page:

Before:
http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=XBMC_Quick_Start_Guide&oldid=24082
After:
http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=XBMC_Quick_Start_Guide

Couple more lists, chopped somethings out and a few tables.
