[Solved] Asrock Ion 3D remote - Ubuntu 11.10 keymap - T_B_T - 2011-11-12
Today I installed xbmc with repository ppa:team-xbmc. Installeded fine and seems to work without issues (not tested a lot though...)
The only problem I encountered was the remote. It is not very responsive and the mapping of the keys don't seem to be right.
I have read somewhere you can adjust the keymap.xml from /usr/share/xbmc/system/keymaps/ not sure if this will work, but if so it would be great if someone can provide me an example keymap.xml file that I can use. Hopefully that will solve the issue. Any other recommendations are appreciated.
I also wanted to use my Wii remote (nice to have not necessary) but the command xbmc-wiiremote is not installed and I didn't find an add on that provided anything.

SOLVED! I needed to install lirc. Works like a charm now.

Can you tell me how you did that ?
I've tried to install de drivers from ASRock but no luck. I've installed LIRC but the remote doesn't work well I set none to IR and none to remote in LIRC config

You need to add an additional file to get it working.
