Wow! Thank you for this so much.... I will add this post to my build. Now as I can see then it's great that I am doing a 90w brick instead of the 120w I was going to do. Looks also that your 80w in your case is up to the task. So it looks like the 65w brick that comes stock on the case will not be good. Very nice that the gpu it's at 49c under stress...

very nice waver!! thanks for these tests!!

A) what about trying CPU + GPU burn at same time?

B) what about when PC is idle?

C) what about 1080P playback in XBMC?

keep it up waver!!

i knew the 80W PSU in the ISK100/110 series was capable of handling the A6-3500!!

Smile

i knew it would!!

well, i still wouldnt say that...

if your using it as XBMC client only a.k.a not a gaming machine,
the stock 65W brick will still handle it...

you'll never stress your hardware like Prime95 and Furmark do!!

if waver123 is willing to conduct test A -B -C for us,
we'll see!!

thanks for posting that! are those power and temp readings with or without the Scythe cooler you ordered?
I'm wondering if you could fit it on with eskro's advice to remove the fan.

RE: ANTEC ISK300-65's hidden PSU Spec - eskro - 2012-04-11 07:01

i think he didnt receive the SCYTHE cooler yet.
you'd get similar resultz anyways...

RE: ANTEC ISK300-65's hidden PSU Spec - waver123 - 2012-04-11 07:33

A) if I run both prime and furmark I got to about 82W, after a couple mins I closed the furmark in case it fried something Smile
B) win7 idle is about 22W
C) XBMC screen + playback is ~32W

RE: ANTEC ISK300-65's hidden PSU Spec - eskro - 2012-04-11 07:36

your good waver123!!

your system rocks!!

you'll never stress your hardware like Prime95 + Furmark do anyways!!

idle at ~22w is consistent with pugetssytems reports!

and ~32w is playing 1080P?

thanks alot bro!

Bugger it, I think I'll go the ISK110 with those figures Big Grin
It's readily available, cheaper, and I don't want a CD/DVD/Bluray drive anyway.

ISK110 is hyper sweet too legiong!!

go on an create a new thread about your HTPC!

we'll want to follow yours too from A-Z bro!!

Yes it was 1080p, for me the 90W of the isk100 is plenty enough juice for me, I don't see how I'll even get close to the power consumption I see with prime.

I actually got my shruken 2 today.....I took it out, take a look at my current asrock mb in the isk100 and am not sure how the heck I'm going to fit this thing into the case, this hs is freaking huge compare to the amd stock hs, the top is so wide I'm not sure if it's enough clearance over my ddr3 stick.

One thing I hate about the isk100 besides the cramp space is the alignment of the board with respect to the backplate, it's off a little so the ports are not quite aligned no matter what I do to try to adjust it, some other ppl have complain about this too in review not sure if it's luck of the draw.
