RE: ANTEC ISK300-65's hidden PSU Spec - legiong - 2012-04-11 12:28 Started a thread on my build: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=128520 Thanks for the encouragement guys! I'm seriously getting excited about playing with xbmc again, haven't had it since my xbox original a few years ago
RE: ANTEC ISK300-65's hidden PSU Spec - eskro - 2012-04-11 12:31 XBMC + ISK110 FTW!!! i emailed ANTEC support and asked them if the ISK110 has a MD-90 power converter. so answer is YES, the ISK110 truly has a 90W PSU. well, if ANTEC support said correct of course.. as we know, the prior version ISK100 had the MD-80 power converter. so even tho they supplied it with a 90W power brick, you'd still have to think as if you had an 80W PSU. RE: ANTEC ISK300-65's hidden PSU Spec - waver123 - 2012-04-13 05:03 well Houston we've a problem. Received my shrukein 2, was gonna see if it fits at all with the ISK100. After installing the mounting bracket, the underside HD don't fit anymore (see the thing don't sit flush with the bottom plate)![]() without the fan it's still slightly higher than would fit ![]() Oh well....waiting for my ISK300-65 to arrive
RE: ANTEC ISK300-65's hidden PSU Spec - legiong - 2012-04-13 06:27 Holy jesus christ. I had no idea that was how big the 'Big Shuriken 2" was. That's roughly the same size as the mobo, isn't it? I'll think twice before buying one. RE: ANTEC ISK300-65's hidden PSU Spec - eskro - 2012-04-13 06:39 Big Shuriken 2 is the best HTPC cooler in my opinion!! RE: ANTEC ISK300-65's hidden PSU Spec - waver123 - 2012-04-13 06:44 Yes it's freaking big, very quality built though, great cooler if it fits in your case. I wonder if the shuriken rev B would fit better, it uses push-pin and don't need a custom backplate I think. RE: ANTEC ISK300-65's hidden PSU Spec - legiong - 2012-04-13 07:22 Shuriken Rev B is 6mm taller than the Shuriken 2 so I'll have to see what clearance I have, but the stock heatsync might be fine anyway. RE: ANTEC ISK300-65's hidden PSU Spec - waver123 - 2012-04-13 07:35 Yes after I tune down the fan in the bios, the fan noise is not too bad, for xbmc the cpu is hardly sweating. RE: ANTEC ISK300-65's hidden PSU Spec - eskro - 2012-04-13 08:30 waver123, the SSD is so small that im sure you can sniff it somewhere!
