Currently not using anything, as I'm waiting for the 120w brick. Shipping from USA to Canada, so takes a bit more time. Also, I ordered from another vendor then the listed one for the 120w, because he did not ship to Canada. This is the one I got: 120w brick. Ships to Canada.

It does. The heatsink of the card is very close to the edge, but cover goes on without issue (gently!) Smile. Other mobos may be different though, depending on where the PCI-e slot is placed on the board...

hope all goes well as i usually recommend 3-prong bricks.

Doh! Didn't even notice it was only 2 prong!!! grrr.... I would have preferred the extra prong as well... Oh well. may need to track down another suitable brick that ships to Canada Sad.

Also, here's a few pics showing the edge with the heatsink. Though in one pic it looks like it sticks out, it's just the angle of the photo.

EDIT 2: Looks like the original brick is also only 2-pronged... My understanding is the third prong is a "frame ground". If the original is not set up for a frame ground, would the third prong even come into play?

well, im not saying the 2-prong wont work.
but i took the information from someone who bought a 3-prong brick
and said it works great and its safer so,
just wait for yours and lets see how well it goes!

You shouldn't have any problem with 2 prongs DC power brick adapter. If you trace back to the fuse box, you will find that the neutral and ground wires from all of the outlets go to the same place. The plug with ground prong just give better protection with metal frame appliances.........

Well, I guess I'll give it a whirl when it arrives. I'm sure it will be fine as well, but I may still look for a 3-prong unit if I can find one for under $20... Smile

@Beer: For a little fan, it's fairly quiet. The case fan is significantly louder, so the only way it is even audible is if the tri-cool is unplugged... Unless you are right beside the case, it's not even audible.

As long as the spec is correct, you'll be fine with 2-prong. There is nothing to worry about.....

I did some testing today....there is no fan noise from HTPC, AVR and HDTV at the seating area- post #353...

No, the ISK 150 uses a traditional, internal 150W power supply. The power bricks are essentially the power supply, removed and put into the brick.
