[atv2] crashes when scanning music library - Diabl0 - 2011-12-04 I keep getting crashes when trying to scan music library. Music library is SMB share from Windows iTunes music folder. First of all - normaly i can't scan audio library - when trying to add source to library i have "Stop scanning" which do nothing. After manualy deleting MyMusic18.db end restarthing xbmc i see option "add to library" which starts scanning and then after few moments and scaned items xbmc crashes. Since then it try's to rescan music library every startup (even with "scan audio library at startup" unchecked in settings) and crashes after few songs creating endless loop. Only deleting MyMusic18.db helps, but then i'm right at beggining. If needed I can provide any additional info. If I remove and re-add the share and then try same thing ..it crashes back to atv2 desktop - Memphiz - 2011-12-19 sorry ... link corrected. Also see this thread which might be the same problem: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=116373&highlight=dropbox&page=7 - homerjs - 2011-12-19 Gump, yer a gdamn genius... fixed it, thanks so much, greatly appreciated No issues scanning and no issues playing. Thank you - Memphiz - 2011-12-19 this fix is already in master and will be in eden aswell ... there might be other issues in the testversion i linked so don't bother... - homerjs - 2011-12-20 ok...I've always grabbed the build from Darwin/atv2/...deb for my atv2 should I not be getting this one and should I actually be using the one from the osx builds? thanks - Ned Scott - 2011-12-20 homerjs Wrote:ok...I've always grabbed the build from Darwin/atv2/...deb for my atv2 ATV2s don't run OSX, so no. - homerjs - 2011-12-20 Memphiz Wrote:this fix is already in master and will be in eden aswell ... there might be other issues in the testversion i linked so don't bother... ok, so where is this master file? thanks - Memphiz - 2011-12-20 There is no build of it atm because the buildbots are suspended for Eden beta. So its in the master code ... no file to download for you yet ... - homerjs - 2011-12-20 thank you appreciate the info back to square one - chomber - 2011-12-26 re-posted to other topic chain. NOT hijacked one. GOFF - g-off - 2011-12-26 Thumbnails using nfs shares using afp and mysql all off the same host. Interesting. Have you tried browsing your afp source to see if it still works? It manages to see the db and get the thumbnails but bails when trying to get the music. Maybe it doesn't like fiddy cent Ps start your own thread instead of hijacking one |
