- Geeba - 2007-05-18 "I have had the pleasure to test the new XBMC version with built in web browser" How? where? Just installed the latest XBMC! cant see any browser? - ultrabrutal - 2007-05-18 It's visible in PM3 skin - Geeba - 2007-05-18 ultrabrutal Wrote:It's visible in PM3 skin My eyes are bad.... but... how about a pointer? I have the usual Programs - Weather on the left and the new Settings, Scrips and filemanager under that then revised favorites and power controls in the lower left.... - Solo0815 - 2007-05-18 You a build, where Links is included. T3CH´s don´t have Links inside. Don´t ask here where to get one, it´s against the rules. Just look up to the "Sky" - gronne - 2007-05-18 As much as I really love the idea of having a web-browser in xbmc, I wonder if it will ever get more advance and be more "complete" as a browser goes. Like proper viewing of a page and more graphics from the pages. If I try to use it on aftonbladet.se it looks like crap compared to in my pc-browser(fox). - bthoem - 2007-05-18 I find great pleasure in XBMC webbrowser - I use it as a modern text-tv for browsing and reading the lastest news. If I were you, I would bookmark the following page on Aftonbladet.se: http://aftonbladet.se/vss/telegram/0,1082,__alla_,00.html# For Norwegian users I have found the following webpages to be "Highly XBMC Webbrowser Compliant": http://news.google.com/news?ned=tno_no&rec=0#s_0 http://mobil.vg.no/ http://wap.dagbladet.no/ http://www.hegnar.no/hegnar/print.asp If you need a more advanced web browser on your XBOX, you should consider to install Linux, from which you can run Mozilla Firefox. Textboxes and Buttons are invisible and the Links Options menu is a little dysfunctional. I could not change my aspect ratio. When the Links popup appeared where you press A to enter a new aspect ratio, Links would run into all sorts of issues. Weird... Can you be more specific and/or post screenshots? Thanks Feature Suggestion: WAP/ WML-support in XBMC Webbrowser - bthoem - 2007-05-19 Please consider to implement full support for WAP/ WML in XBMC Webbrowser/ Linksboks. As much as I enjoy the webbrowser, it's limitations while surfing with MS DVD remote control becomes obvious. It's best for viewing "lo-fi" websites - as an advanced text-tv replacement. I have found a number of useful "lo-fi" websites built for browsing with a mobile phone and some ment for browsing with Pocket PC webbrowser. However, I would love to be able to browse the WAP/ WML pages I use on my phone, like: - Yahoo Go! (all Yahoo services, like email) - Google Mail - My internet bank WAP/ WML support (XML as well?) would bring usability of the XMBC webbrowser to a higher level for me. Thank you for considering. - weinerschnitzel - 2007-05-19 Ok, lets see here. When I open the Links menu and change the aspect ratio The aspect ratio pop up seems empty: http://picasaweb.google.com/jim.dooms/XBMC/photo#5066331677513960050 And when I back out of the Links menu, Everything is stuck on the screen unless I exit Links. And strangely when I browse Google everything is invisible until I highlight it with the keypad. - MacGyver - 2007-05-20 Question. How would you go about adding a ".com" and a "www.", hell I'd even settle for the "." button being in the keyboards first window. Basically shrinking the "Backspace" key down a bit, and adding those 3 or 2 keys, I have looked around, but the skin doesn't deal with the virtual keyboard buttons as separate buttons, as in a "<onclick>f</onclick>" way, and it uses the primary button say "R" and checks whether the "symbols" key was just pressed to give you the underlying key. Instead of having 80 or so <controls> in the keyboard.xml, it has only around 40, just for 0-9 and a-z, not for the symbol keys too, so I don't even know where to start. If it used a <control> for ALL virtual keyboard keys, and used <onclick> we could put any keys on the screen we liked, including string combinations into 1 key like ".com" and www." <onclick>.com</onclick> such as: <control type="button" id="165"> <description>'.com' button</description> <posx>270</posx> <posy>285</posy> <width>30</width> <height>30</height> <onleft>302</onleft> <onright>66</onright> <onup>48</onup> <ondown>75</ondown> <onclick>.com</onclick> <texturenofocus>keyboard-btn.png</texturenofocus> <texturefocus>keyboard-btn-focus.png</texturefocus> <align>center</align> <aligny>center</aligny> <font>font12</font> </control> Any ideas? - mtsaint - 2007-05-20 Thank you so much excellent work ,net files to the cache drives is pimp i tried to rip net radio to the x y and z drives . xxThat would rock my boXxx. now im going to go read some post keeps up the good work. links-deff rocks - mtsaint - 2007-05-20 Thanks - Deff - 2007-05-20 Thanks but I only compile whats already available. Real thanks goes to the XBMC team and all the skinners that make it such a pleasure to use! Look at http://www.dn.se or http://www.svd.se if you want serious news in swedish. - nate12o6 - 2007-05-21 Is there a possibility that this will be merged into the main trunk? |
