When I open the Links menu and change the aspect ratio The aspect ratio pop up seems empty: Uhh... Try to reupload your userdata\LinksBrowser\options file... You can even try defining the aspect ratio manually in it: replace Code: video_aspect_on "0" Code: video_aspect_on "1" Eventually the aspect ratio will be automatically set based on your current resolution. - weinerschnitzel - 2007-05-22 Thats another issue I've been having. I know for the aspect ratio I can put it in manually, but when Google's buttons or text boxes come up the web browser has much less use. I'm guessing I won't see these by the the time a new commit/resync comes around. Thanks for your continued service, ysbox! What else would need to be done before Links is merged with the trunk? Can we get a list of things that need to be accomplished so us end-users can get a sniff of how much more work needs to be put in? That way we get a good idea on how much longer it will take. (I personally like to be kept in the loop and hear for progress over a round and about estimate on how much longer.) - bananaman - 2007-05-22 get the white screen, and *"request sent" 2007-05-19- only error from log ERROR: msvcr71.dll: Unresolved function called (_setmode), Count number 1 - ysbox - 2007-05-22 weinerschnitzel Wrote: That's very confusing... Could you reupload your system\LinksBrowser and userdata\LinksBrowser again, and try running it in regular PAL or NTSC (non-HDTV) mode to see if it's related (i don't personally have the hardware so can't test) TIA - weinerschnitzel - 2007-05-22 I still get the same issues in NTSC. I am recompiling -- see if a new LTCG or a regular build will make a difference. If you care to see the NTSC screen shot here it is: - weinerschnitzel - 2007-05-23 Ok LTCG gives me the issues I've stated before. A regular build hangs at "Transferring" after "Making Connection." From Regular Log Quote:14:07:01 M: 54222848 NOTICE: ----------------------------------------------------------------------- From LTCG Log Quote:14:02:45 M: 36081664 ERROR: msvcr71.dll: Unresolved function called (_setmode), Count number 1If it helps any, my LAN LED does not blink during "Making Connection." Also if a Mod feels my Regular build is too long feel free to delete the initialization messages from the quote. - MacGyver - 2007-05-23 The deff build from the 15th works fine on 16x9 720p, if that helps. - wreezig - 2007-05-29 Couldn't find anything in the thread by searching, but my USB MS optical mouse can't get the buttons to work in LinksBoks on Deffs build of 17th. Both buttons works fine in XBMC though. - gronne - 2007-05-29 Sorry if anyone gets angry at this post, but I wanted clarification. Was a light open-source browser as k-meleon ever an alternative? I find it extremely fast and it has all the juicy features one would like in order to display pages properly. I imagine it would likely be too memory inefficient, but has anyone thought of it? Because it's blazing fast compared to firefox and IE, and it's open-source. I'm not sure if there's more light-weight open-source browsers out there, but I'd just like to know if there's an official word about it. I personally will use linksboks to a minimum as it's not very broser-friendly IMO. But I greatly appreciate all the hard work that's been put into it, and I know heaps use it now. - weinerschnitzel - 2007-06-02 Is it possible for other devs to resync? The way things seem, ysbox is too occupied with expanding Links and adding features and stuff on his set-up to be committing new syncs, bug fixes, and features. I think it would be way cool if the other devs could get involved as well, and really pick up the momentum. With that said, can we get a progress update? - Nickman - 2007-06-03 Most attention of the other developers are directed towards the linux port it seems. And i guess Links wont make it into the main SVN tree this time either. Maybe after the linux port is done ? - pike - 2007-06-03 Nickman Wrote:Most attention of the other developers are directed towards the linux port it seems. Most other engines would require porting a lot of other libraries to get up and running. |
