Thanks for your reply. Perhaps I was starting videos too quickly. The fanart was pretty straightforward, just needed to copy/paste the relevant section out of the default confluence myweather.xml and put it as the first section of your file. The only other thing I have noticed is that when pressing the OSD pause button with the mouse, the radar etc is not displayed, but if I pause the playback with my controller the radar/temps is displayed. Not sure how that works lol but there you go. Thanks for your help.

Some parts of the OSD get obscured by the radar, so I only activate during pause....I am sure you can work it out if you want to change it Smile

Hey mate,

Finally got my ATV1 up and running again with Crystalbuntu 2. When I enable your advanced settings i get a script failed error.

I remember reading somewhere that CB2 doesn't support PIL or something along those lines. I have a feeling that this is my problem (as per the bold line down the bottom of the xbmc debug log)

I haven't been able to find how to fix it either, perhaps my search strings aren't working. Did this get resolved, or was there a work around for it?

Thanks
Andy

Ah, just answered my own question after some mucking around. Those people running CrystalBuntu 2 can just run
Code:
sudo apt-get install python-imaging

and it's all working now Smile

Andy

@andy - that's great, I'll add that to the wiki!

Hey folks

Anyone out there with a Mac? Will to pop XBMC and OzWeather on it and let me knows what happens?

I tried it on an old 10.6 based mini and it's crashing. I have since donated the mini, so have no Mac anymore to play with. I would love to get feedback on this, and a debug log if you alos experience crashes...(so that I can fix it for my friend now running xbmc on said mini but in another state to me, so not so easy to get to for testing!!)

Mac Mini 2013 running Mavericks ready and willing to trial. Due to Mavericks I need to run the 12.3 test release or 13 nightlies though ..

RE: [RELEASE] OzWeather - Australian Weather Addon using BOM data - bossanova808 - 2013-12-05

That would be good - I tried it in Gotham a few nights ago with no issues, so it's really the Mac side of things I'd like to make sure works.

RE: [RELEASE] OzWeather - Australian Weather Addon using BOM data - Gigantur - 2013-12-05

On a quick test OZ Weather seems to work fine on Mavericks with Gotham latest nightly.

I did get an XBMC crash (and will have the os crashlog) when first installing it. Is a nightly (latest) though .. Re-tried and was fine.
I also got "script failed" as I had not configured the Postcode (have a debug if interested) - could the error be updated to "No location specified" or similar?

I will update when I have spent more time with it. Going to try 12.3 test release due to problems with apple remote so may take a few days ..

RE: [RELEASE] OzWeather - Australian Weather Addon using BOM data - bossanova808 - 2013-12-05

Yeah I could make it more graceful I suppose.

Did you test radar - that's the main thing (so you have to copy the skin file etc)

RE: [RELEASE] OzWeather - Australian Weather Addon using BOM data - Gigantur - 2013-12-05

Should I use the skin files for Frodo (on the wiki)?

My recollection is that when i did this previously it broke the code-signing which broke the firewall and orher things - if so will see if i can work out the easiest way to re-sign the code ..

RE: [RELEASE] OzWeather - Australian Weather Addon using BOM data - bossanova808 - 2013-12-05

Actually just enable the extended features in settings and don't worry about the skin file - that will get the radar code tested, the display bit is irrelevant really.

Thanks!

RE: [RELEASE] OzWeather - Australian Weather Addon using BOM data - Gigantur - 2013-12-05

Using the skin for extended features inc radar loop fails with "script error" in retrieving both radar and weather data. Is fine without extended features enabled in settings (and the skin still installed).

Debug log is: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=93888

RE: [RELEASE] OzWeather - Australian Weather Addon using BOM data - bossanova808 - 2013-12-06

Great - thanks - I will try and get the xbmc devs to fix that up!

RE: [RELEASE] OzWeather - Australian Weather Addon using BOM data - bossanova808 - 2013-12-13

@Gigantur - can you try the Gotham nightly from here:

http://mirrors.xbmc.org/nightlies/osx/

Memphiz said to try 'next nightly' so maybe wait until Saturday - hopefulyl a nightly after 13th Dec will appear??

RE: [RELEASE] OzWeather - Australian Weather Addon using BOM data - Gigantur - 2013-12-16

Will do on sun. Debug was from Gotham nightly ..
