- hentai23 - 2011-12-19

why am i not suprised at that comment of yours toineb -.-'...xD

btw who doesnt like porn and hentai ? i say its up to the freedom of the artists and producers that make these pieces of art to decide what they want to create , theres a market for everything , adult entertainment , regular entertainment etc etc ...guys are acting as if hentai and porn was a bad thing btw as ive stated my library contains hentai and porn as does isamu.dragon .....HA!!!!!! xD

so do yourselves a favour and stop your fail troll attempts at me for enjoying every aspect of the entertainment market and get the thread back on topic , thank you , stay fresh

p.s: porn/hentai and Anime as seperate sections will be included atleast i hope, but lets have bodrick get started on polishing ember as a whole first ey? xD, as ive mentioned the movie scraping leaves quite a bit to desire as ive previously mentioned -.-'

- krish_2k4 - 2011-12-19

whatever you jerk it to is your business.

there are far more important/better things to fix and include in this media manager and i very much doubt the coder wants to spend time fixing up a scraper for porn!

- hentai23 - 2011-12-19

ummmm well it might be at the bottom of the todo list but nonetheless is a feature you cant deny that xD , and adding the already existing anidb scraper for xbmc would allow us for a seperate section for anime btw -.-' its not all coding from the ground up xD...-.-'

just to let you know media center master already has porn scrapers in it thou id rather not use it since i hate payware i want to only use ember as media manager not that crap payware

this is the reason why -.-'

and didnt i just say that of course there are a ton of more pressing matters at hand with ember? -.-'

- JustinAiken - 2011-12-19

Given that nearly half the posts in this thread are from hentai23 about issues that only he has, I think he should make his own thread that bodrick can choose to peruse/ignore at his leisure, and stop cluttering this thread for everyone else..

- hentai23 - 2011-12-19

you think so? was just trying to leave some helpful feedback of what to improve -.-'

- TugboatBill - 2011-12-19

To clean up the thread just go to here:
http://forum.xbmc.org/profile.php?do=ignorelist

and add those users you no longer want to see posts from.

Back on topic. Great to see Ember being picked up again.

Key issue in the existing product was tv scraping. A number of behaviors occur during an auto scrape:
* Some episodes scrape ep name, nfo and image
* Some episodes scrape ep name and nfo but miss the image
* Some episodes scrape incorrect ep name (typically "TBA" or "Episode X" - these always scrape correctly on a manual scrape)
* A large proportion are not scraped at all

It would be great to start to improve this area as this should be a common need in the community. Currently I find the need to manually verify every single episode which is far from ideal.

Cheers,

Gmk2

Thanks tug for how to do the ignore list

The one thing that keeps me from using Ember for TV Shows instead of Sickbeard (not counting still airing shows) is the lack of the use of the following fields,
Quote: <displayseason></displayseason>
<displayepisode></displayepisode>
These are helpful for special episodes (or where movies take place in the series).
An Example would be Doctor Who: (Posting only needed information)
Quote: <title>The Christmas Invasion</title>
<season>0</season>
<episode>2</episode>
<aired>2005-12-25</aired>
<displayseason>2</displayseason>
<displayepisode>1</displayepisode>
This information would enable the episode to be read as a special (series movie), and be displayed in the Second season, where it takes place

The bug I reported with episodeguide missing from the tvshow.nfo is scheduled for the next release.

isamu.dragon - perhaps you could export a good nfo for a episode that bodrick could use and create a bug report on the EMM web site. With the devs working on series nfo there may be a good chance they can include your fix in the next release.

Open a case on the EMM site and include the names of the files you're trying to scrape and getting errors on. I know it's a pain, but the more details they have the greater the possibility they'll be able to fix it.

New Guy Saying THANKS! - coreyoliseffect - 2011-12-20

Thanks for updating EMM!!!! I can't say it enough. EMM is by far the best program that I have come across for gathering all sorts of useful info about movies and TV shows.
I am new to the forums so I hope that I am not breaking any rules by doing this but here goes. Wink
How To Geek released an article a while back about EMM and it is actually how I found out about it. It goes through the basic install and setup. It seems to still be valid. Here is the link:

Happy scraping!
