RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD/ATI Radeon and Fusion GPUs - CrazYoshi - 2012-04-05 Ok, I'll try. It is possible after follow the procedure update the kernel to 3.3? Because I read that they have improved the power consumption management with this update and could be interesting... The power regression in older kernels is ONLY for intel sandy bridge CPUs. RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD/ATI Radeon and Fusion GPUs - CrazYoshi - 2012-04-06 Great! Now finally works! (also with 3.31 kernel installed) I have seen that the CPUs are often at 50%. Can I do anything for this problem? I have already create the advancedsettings.xml and disable the RSS... RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD/ATI Radeon and Fusion GPUs - marigo - 2012-04-06 I followed the guide, but the last package is not going to be installed: Code: marigo@HTPC:~$ sudo apt-get install xbmc xbmc-bin Can I just install these packages with apt-get? RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD/ATI Radeon and Fusion GPUs - fritsch - 2012-04-06 (2012-04-06, 00:44)CrazYoshi Wrote: Great! Now finally works! (also with 3.31 kernel installed) 50% in sum during playback is just normal on a E350 System, alone by fetching the data. Remember if the CPU is downclocked to 800Mhz these values get higher but in deed they are lower. Most of the work is done on the GPU anyway. 50% in the menus would be a problem, could be from library rescanning. Is this Ubuntu precise? Any chance to join the irc, as this can get really long to fix :-) RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD/ATI Radeon and Fusion GPUs - CrazYoshi - 2012-04-06 (2012-04-06, 08:21)fritsch Wrote:The 50% of CPUs is taken when I'm in the menu and not during playback...(2012-04-06, 00:44)CrazYoshi Wrote: Great! RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD/ATI Radeon and Fusion GPUs - CrazYoshi - 2012-04-06 Ok, thank you so much!. Now the CPUs are at 13/15% Now the real problem is choose the audio device. I would like to reproduce the sound over the soundcard and not from HDMI or SPDIF RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD/ATI Radeon and Fusion GPUs - fritsch - 2012-04-06 (2012-04-06, 11:07)CrazYoshi Wrote: Ok, thank you so much!. Now the CPUs are at 13/15% if you mean analog audio output(cinch cables to speakers) then just select analog in xbmcs audio settings. RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD/ATI Radeon and Fusion GPUs - CrazYoshi - 2012-04-06 this is my result: Code: null (2012-04-06, 11:25)wsnipex Wrote:(2012-04-06, 11:07)CrazYoshi Wrote: Ok, thank you so much!. Now the CPUs are at 13/15% I have already selected Analog but when I start playback an error is shown and I have no audio. RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD/ATI Radeon and Fusion GPUs - acegis - 2012-04-06 Hi guys, I am not sure if should I put my post here since it is related to XBMCBuntu - but I guess here is a lot of experienced people that they can help me ;-) What is the issue? - The issue is I have the official build of XBMCBuntu and I had some problems with movies stability (maybe sync issue) and I decided to upgrade my drivers to the latest catalyst build. I installed it on the existing driver forcing the procedure with --force switch. And after that my system is screwed up ;-) I men an acceleration is I guess not working (or not always) I can watch only part of HD movies the rest is like with no acceleration slow-motion-movies ;-) The the acceleration is obviously ON. What did I wrong? How to restore the original functionality? (and make it better since I had some issues) RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD/ATI Radeon and Fusion GPUs - fritsch - 2012-04-06 @acegis: Sorry you are not using the XVBA version. XMBCBuntu is shipped with the vaapi over xvba wrapper. So wrong thread, sorry. @CrazyYoshi: We have at least 5 audio problems discussed in this thread. Set your device to custom and choose: "plughw:1,0" without the "". If you want to get more information (default device, dmix, e.g.), join irc. RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD/ATI Radeon and Fusion GPUs - wsnipex - 2012-04-06 @acegis and others: Topic of this thread is the xvba branch, please stick to it and take non related questions to the appropriate threads/forum or post a new thread. |
