RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - fritsch - 2012-10-07 (2012-10-07, 02:58)KRA77 Wrote: pardon my ignorance, I'm not a programmer, and don't completely understand this git stuff. wsnipex does not packages from his git repository. He uses it for sending patches upstream. Currently we are using github.com/fritsch monthly stable for the testing builds. When those builds start to work fine - I send the incremental commits to fernetmenta/october branch to get included there. Greetings Peter RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - Jan0sh - 2012-10-10 Hi there, it's me again. Don't know where to report my problem, so I'll try it here: Since a while (don't know the exact revision) i got problems when playing just one item (no playlist) and pushing the 'next' button on the remote. FastForward is no problem but clicking next results in a XBMC freeze. If I play multiple files (e.g. 'Ab hier abspielen' maybe in english 'play from here'), there is no such problem when klicking 'next' on the remot. it skips the current track/item and starts the next one. Anyone else experienced this behavior? RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - fritsch - 2012-10-10 @Jan0sh: Thx for your report, can you post a complete xbmc.log? Best with debug turned on? As a first hint, i think it could be cause of AudioEngine sets your sink to sleep, can you add to advancedsettings.xml Code: <advancedsettings> ... indicates your old settings RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - mystefix - 2012-10-10 Hi, i have exactly the same problem as Jan0sh. xbmc debug log: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=10373 I had this problem in the xbmc eden version too, so i guess that the AudioEngine is not causing this effect on my htpc. First i thought it has something do with the skin that i use, but it doesn't matter which skin is used, the same applies for different codec/video files, it always happen if this is the last or the only file that is in the playlist. However if xbmc is not reacting anymore, i can still see updates of the epg database for livetv, so it seems that xbmc don't completly freeze at this time. RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - Hack_kid - 2012-10-11 FernetMenta can you update your master branch with latest upstream changes please? having trouble merging it as of late RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - FernetMenta - 2012-10-11 (2012-10-11, 09:04)Hack_kid Wrote: FernetMenta can you update your master branch with latest upstream changes please? having trouble merging it as of late This is last warning! Nobody on this thread cares whether you have trouble with merging. RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - nophbert - 2012-10-11 Hey there. I've got intensive problems with my plugins in xbmc-xvba under ubuntu 12.10 quantal 64bit. Please see attached link to log file http://pastebin.com/KdbrnuSk Am i doing something wrong, or is it xbmc related? RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - fritsch - 2012-10-11 @nophbert: Did you check: https://github.com/mazkolain/spotimc/commits/master ? He commited some fixes for frodo lately. If I see it right - only spotimc has problems RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - nophbert - 2012-10-11 Wow, thats fast! Thank you fritsch. I did not see the fixes. I will check them later or tomorrow. TV is now occupied by my wife No, i also have problems with the youtube plugin. It is not starting in Frodo. But you cannot see in log file. RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - fritsch - 2012-10-11 @nophberg: Just show me the log. There is a special bug in youtube, when it cannot download Simple Downloader and so on ... if you see such messages in the log, download SimpleDownload.zip manually and install it as zip. Could also be another package, but without log i cannot help. RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - x0149128 - 2012-10-11 How can I install this again? I've installed the new 12.9 catalyst drivers on my netbook, but purging the old ones also removed XBMC. Now if i try to reinstall XBMC is wants to install fglrx and fglrx-amdcccle. Presumably that is the old driver and is going to mess up my system, having both installed. RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - fritsch - 2012-10-11 @x0149128: You messed up the system yourself, when "brute force" installing the new driver by just running the .run file :-) RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - x0149128 - 2012-10-11 That's how i've always installed the catalyst drivers. Remove the old ones, then use the new run file to install. What do you do? Build a .deb first then install? RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - fritsch - 2012-10-11 @x0149128: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=116996&pid=1138272#pid1138272 12.6 is fine 12.8 has broken xvba 12.9 beta has broken suspend 12.9 quantal version is the best (one month newer than 12.9beta) - you can recompile it for Oneiric. RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - gfisher - 2012-10-12 @fritsch. Have you heard of pixel corruption from hdpvr 1080i recordings at the lower part of display? Any fix aside from over scan just hiding part of the screen. Its a Pink red green line at bottom 4 pixes or so. I use eden stable wsnipex ppa and i am up to date, ati 12.6. A4 3400 xubuntu 32b. On my win machine hd4200 it is virtually non existent in xbmc. The myth guys made a patch sayin it was a 1920x1088 bug. That the lower pixels should be stripped. Hdpvr 720p caps were fine. I will try vlc and sm player and turn off deint. In xbmc on my Linux box to compare. TIA Update smplayer and vlc both are fine. Xbmc Deint turned off might be a little better pushing it down but then lines show. They look like mini fireworks. Especially on dark scenes. See related http://code.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/10001 |
