RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - fritsch - 2012-10-12 @Jan0sh: Please enable debug logging. RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - Jan0sh - 2012-10-12 Blazingly fast response now me 2: Http://paste.ubuntu.com/1275709/ RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - fritsch - 2012-10-12 @Jan0sh: Can we talk on IRC? It just hangs at this point? RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - mystefix - 2012-10-12 @fritsch did you had the time to had a look at the attached debug-log file http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=116996&pid=1210833#pid1210833 i have exactly the same problem like Jan0sh ones. RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - fritsch - 2012-10-12 @mystefix: This is a skin issue - at least for you :-) The skin author will fix it in 3.6.2: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=141999 @jan0sh: Same for you - as found out via IRC. -> works with default confluence For those doing the howto from quantal: Code: sudo apt-get install python-software-properties They move apt-add-repository (respectively add-apt-repository) into the this package. So before adding the ppa you must install this package. Choose fglrx from the apt repository - another fglrx won't work anyways - as quantal ships 1.13 xserver. Over all there is no reason to upgrade to Ubuntu 12.10 - the good driver version can also be installed on 12.04. RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - mystefix - 2012-10-13 tested it tright now, works But i'm using the aeon mq 4 skin and not aeon nox or do they have the same codebase ? thx @fritsch RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - fritsch - 2012-10-13 @mystefix: Same skinner :-) RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - guilmxm - 2012-10-13 @fritsch : Again thanks for your answer, i've integrated it into my installation guide RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - gfisher - 2012-10-13 @fritsch here are the xbmc only 1080i happague hdpvr cap pixels on the bottom of my sony nx711 42 lcd the picture in all caps by hdpvr, black scenes really show it: http://www.picvalley.net/v.php?p=u/1625/46597407714362417531350100375pxMIVgxvKhInwuLMQBL7.JPG hdmi vid and audio 1080i avc TIA RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - FernetMenta - 2012-10-13 Top and bottom lines on interlaced material are always crap and should be cropped. fritsch and I were working on this some time ago but postponed. RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - wsnipex - 2012-10-13 this is no debug log. Also seems you are using some other skin, which produces errors. Try again with confluence and debugging enabled. edit: lol nevermind.. seems I missed some posts... RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - gfisher - 2012-10-13 @FernetMenta @fritsch. Thanks for your support. I figured it was that since obviously this artifact was only found on interlaced material. What is strange even disabling deinterlacing it is still there. Must be part of that field. I will play with zoom or vertical shift until it gets addressed if ever. I might Look at the source some time so that i can contribute. But i am not very experienced with video stream related stuff. I am mostly a visual studio and assembly coder for hardware related stuff Update Iooked at the vids frame by frame the bottom pixels are pink to blue to purple from hdpvr 1080i caps. Mpeg2 1080i ota has the same line but it is black. I think the 1080 is really 1088 that needs the bottom 8 pixels cropped that's all. I will look at building it and if I'm lucky submit a patch. Else zoom. RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - nophbert - 2012-10-13 (2012-10-11, 20:19)fritsch Wrote: @nophberg: Thank you for the hint. I decided to set up a fresh system based on ubuntu precise and the Eden release. I just recompiled the 12.9 fglrx from quantal release. Now everything is working like a charm, even some Movies where i formerly had some artefacts seem to run absolutly perfect. Thank you for support. RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - fritsch - 2012-10-13 @gfisher: We already crop. @nophbert: No Problem RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD Radeon/Fusion and Nvidia GPUs - gfisher - 2012-10-14 @fritsch. I looked further Into it. Trying to keep this thread on point/clean. The frames I am Looking at In avidemux clearly show the bottom pixels pink red blue.. 1920x1088 in that proggy OK for mod16math. the same that I see in xbmc even though xbmc reports 1920x1080. Do you know where the code is for that PLEASE? The lib is huge. I am finally compiling it.. says successful. My laptop dual boot Is Intel though. I want to test it debug and fix it for others if need be. Not a huge deal but it will make it nicer for all. The hdpvr is putting those colors on the bottom 8? Pixels. Many codecs/players offer a crop bottom 8 pixels option to fix this. I am not sure this is vxba related but xvba is what brought me here. |
