[WINDOWS] Snapstream Beyond TV to XBMC naming conversion? - vogelap - 2011-12-20
I am a long-time Snapstream Beyond TV (BTV) user. I've recently started using XBMC (with the Transparency! skin) and really like it. I am considering making Beyond TV just a recording client, feeding TV shows and movies into XBMC which I will use as my media center.
I've got a large collection of TV shows & movies in Beyond TV that I would like to convert to XBMC's format (so I can get all the cool fanart, posters, etc).
Since I am new to the XBMC world, I am unclear on how to most efficiently convert my BTV shows to what XBMC wants. Can anyone give me any guidancy?
My shows/movies are stored in D:\PVR directory, no subdirectories.

You might be able to automate the process at one point. Consider the program 'theRenamer' it does a great job.

@PatK... Thanks for the guidance! I've just printed a bunch of the information you indicated (and related) and will read it this evening! I appreciate the tips... It's confusing at the beginning!
I will check out TheRenamer, too...
