Well unless your media center is also a server holding tons of software if you choose a random port like 9876 you're unlikely to find anything using it

Ok, here's what's happening (easier to go into more detail when I'm not on my phone...)
I've got the IP address and port (8080) and it's detecting it in the scan, but when I try to connect, it fails... I've tried with about 20 different random port numbers and every time it detects but can't connect
I've tried rebooting my router to cycle to a different IP but that didn't help either...
And as I said before, it's not just this app, it's any app that tried to connect to the xbmc webserver... strange!

Well you can check : http://yatse.leetzone.org/redmine/projects/androidwidget/wiki/Debug to generate both logs so I can see the error.
But things tends to point to firewall if Yatse detect the correct port.

I haven't got a firewall as such set up - only MSE... could be related to that, I'll disable it and try again!
If that fails I'll get logs for you

Well the error is timeout and not denied.
When you browse to http://192.168.0.3:8080/jsonrpc from your phone does it work ?

Well I can ask stupid question like have you the wifi activated ?
Is you wifi network on the same subnet than your Xbmc ?
Check gateway and any other network related things. But this will be very specific to your installation and not related to Xbmc / Yatse I fear

I've only got one modem/connection, so it can't be connected to anything else if that's what you mean...

Depends on your modem Wifi but some times wifi network is separated from lan ones with a integrated to modem firewall.
But I'm sorry this will becomes way too much network technical related to be followed in this post

For some reason the PVR options are not showing up on my windows XBMC yet they are when I connect to my Openelec Rasberry Pi XBMC? Does Zeroconf need to be on for this? I really dont want Apple crap...

PVR is limited to Frodo, you need to update your Windows Xbmc then edit your host for Yatse to know about the update

I have Frodo RC3, and latest Yatse and have always used it with Frodo. Editing the host worked thanks
Think this might be a bug for those upgrading from older versions of Yatse pre PVR support? Thanks for the great App btw
