Sent a debug log from Yatse itself would you need Kodi log aswell? I did notice that i was having to clear the app data and reconfigure app to get the volume to work again. BUT not entirely sure why it drops out in the first place!

I have an issue that has been bugging me for some time. Is there a limit to the number of music albums Yatse can handle? I have 6379 albums in my library, but Yatse reports only 6308.

No limits at all, but plenty of Kodi bugs depending on version and tons of things
As always : http://yatse.tv/redmine/projects/yatse/knowledgebase/articles/20 for logs + your mymusicXX.db, but this sounds like the missing albums are the albums without artist that where fixed only recently on Kodi side.

I've uploaded yatse log and a dump of my music mysql DB. I've asked about limitation because I've noticed that if I delete one album among those not picked up by Yatse, then a new album is scanned by Yatse, and if I delete 2 albums, then 2 new albums are scanned. It seems it can't have more than 6308, which is weird. And the albums not scanned are the last inserted into Kodi library, and they all have artist tag filled.

Should have guessed that .I can't reproduce as I do not have Mysql but I'm pretty sure this is the same problem as http://trac.kodi.tv/ticket/15735
Would be cool if you could try with sqlite as it would either confirm the Mysql problem or allow me to reproduce.

Sadly it is mysql related. Even though Json sees the right number of albums, it only picks up 6308 among them, and leaves all the last entries in the DB. And the issue is also related to the idalbum value. It seems pretty much the same bug you pointed at.

You may want to open an issue in Kodi Trac and add MilhouseVH and DaveTBlake in copy they may find ideas about that and it would help getting exposure.

Actually this is even written in red in the Changelog
I wonder why I bother writing those.This settings is mandatory since day 1 of Yatse, due to a now fixed Kodi bug, it had worked for some times without it checked, but Wiki / Wizard and everything ask to check it.

Well in all fairness. I personally had BOTH options checked before the update. So wasn't aware of Kodi unchecking it. But as you have pointed out that was now not checked. It is strange. But thank you for the info on the issue within Kodi causing it.
