Hi Tolriq,

If I do not control XBMC with my remite, I normaly use AWXi as Webinterface and Yatse as Android App with XBMC.

I only have movies and series organized in databases, but for music I use my folder structure.

With AWXi you can browse music without having it in the database, but not with Yatse.

Do you think it is possible to adapt this also in Yatse?

Thankz,
Siutsch.

Of course you can with Yatse Smile

Just use the menu to go to files / playlists then swipe to the music part.

Hey guys, I can't seem to get certain buttons to work in the newest version. I've set XBMC as shown in the FAQ and most features on the remote work fine. Directional, back and enter though don't. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Edit: It seems none of the input works, but I can access the media database. Bonjour is installed and the service shows as started.

Those commands use Event Server UDP Port 9777 is this open in your firewall ?

The important part of the setup is : http://yatse.leetzone.org/redmine/projects/androidwidget/wiki/XbmcConfig#Go-to-Remote-control-menu

I've done everything on that page. This is all over wifi so i shouldnt need to open or forward any ports, right?

I should clarify that I'm running Eden. No betas here.

If you have a local firewall on your Xbmc you still need to open port in it.

Perhaps you have changed this port in advanced settings in Xbmc ?

Or changed the Event Server port in Yatse remote configuration ?

RE: Yatse Widget - Full featured Xbmc Remote and Widgets for Android & Eden/Frodo - Headcase_Fargon - 2012-11-22

I have XBMC on two different HTPCs on this network, so no changed the event server ports to 8901 and 8902, respectively. Both are set up correctly in Yatse. Now Playing properly displays what's on and I can even pause it from the widget. None of the controls in the remote work though.

Edit: I lied. Pause DOES work in the remote. But not directional, back or enter. Stop and pause seem to be the only buttons that work in the remote.

I don't see the need to change the event server port when you have 2 HTPCs ?

The EventServer port is configured via advancedsettings.xml and not in Xbmc Interface where it's the http Json port.

Since they have different IPs it shouldn't be problem to use the same port right?

RE: Yatse Widget - Full featured Xbmc Remote and Widgets for Android & Eden/Frodo - Headcase_Fargon - 2012-11-22

I went ahead and reinstalled Yatse and let it auto configure. Seems to be working great now. Looks like it was the event server ports that was doing it. Thanks guys.

New design looks great, by the way.

I had overlooked, that I can also scroll to the right.

Sorry! Confused
