Hi Ajay,

An old issue with youtube seems to have resurfaced

Might be an easy fix for you!

All above mentioned links are working fine for me. It uses URLResovler in backend for resolving these links. That might be fixed now.

Actually I just want to get the real ulr via XBMC, then I can use a downloader to download the video program faster (multi-thread downloader).
If I can, how to do?

Thanks

Not really provided in PlayIt but you can get the URL from XBMC logs and feed in your XBMC.

Ajay, you fucking rock!

RE: [RELEASED] PlayIt service : Play hosted video url remotely on XBMC - ajay - 2013-09-15

Regarding recent rating given by Christoph Duerr on chrome store for PlayIt on XBMC extension

Restriction on port numbers makes it not work with raspberry pi xbmc.

My Response:
This isn't true. There is no restriction on port numbers. The PlayIt service configuration on XBMC allows you to switch to any port number, default is 8181. Thereafter update chrome extension configuration accordingly.

Hi Ajay,
I have a Raspberry Pi running Rapsbmc, the PlayIT service kept prompting 'TurtleMain.py' error, I checked your video on TurtleMain.py, but there is no such folder in my xbmc addons folder, any help?

In that case, your addons database is not having correct mapping for this add-on. You may need to delete the database and need to install all addons from scratch. Sorry about that. This happens when XBMC failed to install dependent modules for PlayIt.

Hi, I tried this with Chrome extension running on Win7 and xbmc machine (Openelec Frodo), it shows the pop up both on my pc and openelec that feed url (from DesiRulez) has been sent but doesn't play anything on xbmc .....Does it only work on specific versions of XBMC Huh

Also how far have you gone on Zappy Glasses. I would love to try that cool app...:-)

Hi,

Firstly, this addon is not going to play all the world wide web URLs Tongue. This can play only media hosting website URL such as YouTube and Dailymotion.

For DesiRulez website, you will first need to open the media window and then need to make use of PlayIt Frame mode which will show PlayIt frame on top of YouTube, Dailymotion media window.

Got it, Thanks. I'll try with frame mode...

hi again
so this has been working great for a long time...now i have a problem... if i try to queue up more than 1 video, instead of adding the 2nd or 3rd video to the queue it stops the currently playing vid and starts the next one right away, it use to make nice playlists
any idea why this is happening?

Firstly, remove the logs from post and use xbmclogs.com instead for later posts.
The addon settings need to be used for setting mode to playlist mode:
The playit settings are available under addon information where from you configure it.

What I meant was that it takes less clicks to change from the toolbarbutton than going from addons scrolling through 50 addons just to change IP and Port when it was easier to change the old way.

The Chrome extension is alot better than firefox as all the features are integrated into 1 toolbarbutton.

I just feel the old addon was better with only an implementation of saving the IP and Port was missing when right clicking the toolbarbutton.

Ok. Got it.. I see what you mean. See I need feedback to make it better. I will do the changes.

Hi AJ

Please could you integrate all the feature into the toolbarbutton in Firefox same as Chrome extension.

Hope to hear from you!

Many thanks!

Hi Ajay
I have been having issues playing dailymotion videos using the addon - the log is loaded at http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=65242

Any ideas regarding whats going on? The issue shows up right towards the end of the logfile.

Thanks

hi
so i have a question...there has been a big blowup over at xbmchub and now xbmctalk concerning google analytics embedded into addons for tracking and it is a possible privacy issue...
that being said, i see that turtlex has in .xbmc/addons/script.module.turtlex/lib (i think, i am not at my machine right now) a Google.Analytic.py and .pyc components...
if i delete these files, i am unable to use playit...
i would like to have the option to opt out of being tracked...your thoughts on this?

edit
sorry didnt see this
Quote:ajay Wrote: With turtle 1.7.1 lib version and next PlayIt version, Google Analytics disabled by default on all add-ons because add-on seems to be stable now.
