so i have a question...there has been a big blowup over at xbmchub and now xbmctalk concerning google analytics embedded into addons for tracking and it is a possible privacy issue...
that being said, i see that turtlex has in .xbmc/addons/script.module.turtlex/lib (i think, i am not at my machine right now) a Google.Analytic.py and .pyc components...
if i delete these files, i am unable to use playit...
i would like to have the option to opt out of being tracked...your thoughts on this?

edit
sorry didnt see this
Quote:ajay Wrote: With turtle 1.7.1 lib version and next PlayIt version, Google Analytics disabled by default on all add-ons because add-on seems to be stable now.

Yes, Google Analytics is disabled in all of my add-ons. I just included the library and having it as add-in for my addons. Make sure to download addon from repo only and you have my promise that it is not enabled.

Hi Ajay
New to this forum.
Love your plugin, Works perfectly on raspberry pi with xbian os.

I wrote a small android app to send links to PlayIt
SendItToXBMC

If you want, I could upload the source to your google code repository.

Install the app.
Set xbmc IP and port
In browser, navigate to desired page.
Make sure you check Request desktop site in the browser options because some sharing sites will redirect you to a mobile version with incompatible address.
Choose share and you should see PlayItOnXBMC

Liran.

Wow Great!! Good to see you took interest to extend the capabilities.

I don't have any android device, So I cannot try your app which I really love to. Would be nice if you can post a video of your app with instructions.

(Repost from before.. since I am still experiencing this issue)
Hi Ajay
I have been having issues playing dailymotion videos using the addon - the log is loaded at http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=65242

Any ideas regarding whats going on? The issue shows up right towards the end of the logfile.

Thanks

I have recently made a fix. Please do force refresh on aj addons repository to enable download of latest dependency. Therefter, do a quick XBMC, you should be good to go.

Thanks

What I meant was that it takes less clicks to change from the toolbarbutton than going from addons scrolling through 50 addons just to change IP and Port when it was easier to change the old way.

The Chrome extension is alot better than firefox as all the features are integrated into 1 toolbarbutton.

I just feel the old addon was better with only an implementation of saving the IP and Port was missing when right clicking the toolbarbutton.

Ok. Got it.. I see what you mean. See I need feedback to make it better. I will do the changes.

Hi AJ

Please could you integrate all the feature into the toolbarbutton in Firefox same as Chrome extension.

Hope to hear from you!

Many thanks!

Done, download latest add-on version 1.1.1 that is available at
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/playit-on-xbmc/versions/?page=1#version-1.1.1

its under review with Firefox team, so wont be updated automatically.

Hey ajay,

First let me just say this is AWESOME! Really really starting to dig this.

If this was answered already I do apologize, but I did a search and nothing came up.

I'm having issues using Playit with anything from the Megarelease site. Here is my log (Click Me)

Thanks

@bacharliran, tested Android app as well. Works fine, just one minor bug to report. Exit button on settings does not work for me on Google Nexus10.

As demanded, Firefox users can now have access to PlayIt in navigation bar, much better layout than other browser addons.

Firefor Add-on v1.1.1 (can be installed, waiting for formal review)

Hi AJ

Thank you for making the new toolbar button, its still not the same as Chrome add on features as listed below.

1. Remove drop marker and add right click to get toolbar button context menu.
2. Toolbar button is not movable, would like the option to move it anywhere on the toolbar or add-on bar like the previous versions.
3. Also could you add "Options" to toolbar button context menu which would allow you set IP/Port numbers then save and exit it.

Separate request can you add http://mega.co.nz to playit because if you install MEGA Addon you can stream movies with MEGA links.
