i'm a xbmc-newbie from germany. My english is not really good, i hope you understand me ...

i've installed the NHL-Add-on and it works fine!
... but i can't display the team-logos.
if i accept the logo-settings from the first post, the add-on start with the following error-Message:
scripterror: gamecenter.py
also i can't send a logfile, because i don't have access to the log-path using ftp.
it would be very nice if you could help me!

Many thanks to the dev for making/maintaining this addon, it's working great with my Openelec setup. I live in Spain and I just signed up for the playoff pass of NHL Gamecenter Live, and discovered afterwards that the Panasonic Viera app no longer exists, I was gutted until I found this addon, installed it and saw it working with archives... since the first live game of the playoffs is tonight, hopefully I can test the live function as well...

Having the same problem with yesterday's archived games (first day of playoffs)
The rest and the condensed games of those same yesterday's games works normally.
Via web browser I can watch all the games, including yesterday's with no problem...

Not too advanced of a user but if I download the repository from the original launch post is that then the latest upgrade of the add-on (0.5.4)? Or where can I otherwise get a hold of that version.
I had problems with random crashes of xbmc upon using the nhl gamecenter add-on.

What are the the various thumbnail settings supposed to do?
I enabled the generate setting, and it appeared to do something upon opening but I don't see any thumbnails for games, just the default XBMC ones.
Also what are the differences (with screenshots if possible) between the settings, square, 16:9, etc...

It's still there. Try the "Force refresh" option on the repo.

You have to enable "Use Thumbnails".
With the "Format" setting you can change the aspect ratio of the thumbnail. With the "Background" setting you can change the background of the thumbnails. Both settings are avilable for the menu items and the info screen (OSD) when you play a stream. Each time you change one of those settings you need to generate the thumbnails again and sometimes even if you update to the latest version of the addon.

Does anyone know if this plugin works for preseason games, or if gamecenter live even has preseason games covered? Trying to decide whether to buy gamecenter live now or wait for buying through the iphone app. I used the plugin last season and it worked great! Through the nhl website everything is so choppy for me. Youtube HD video is choppy for me as well. No idea why flash video is so terrible on my machine.

Currently the add-on doesn't work with preseason games and it may not work with live games this season. If live games are important to you and you have none of the devices that are officially supported by the NHL, you might want to hold off purchasing a subscription for Gamecenter Live until the add-on is confirmed to be working.
