When I try to download a show it says it says:
You have not located your rtmpdump executable.

Can any one advise on what I need to do on Windows 7 or OSX to get it working?

Thanks

4od atv 2 - deniadaz - 2012-02-17

This plugin used to work fine, until from what I can tell Channel 4 added adverts to the stream, and changed the address, I am using ATV 2 Eden Beta 3 and I cannot get any program me to play, it lists them but no more, I have also changed the .py as detailed in previous posts.

Please can someone help with this?

Darren

Download rtmpdump from http://rtmpdump.mplayerhq.hu/ for windows. Extract into a folder such as c:\rtmpdump. Then in xbmc goto plugin right click on the plugin and select settings, then click on download under settings, set the rtmpdump path to c:\rtmpdump\rtmpdump.exe. A space in the path will cause problems and needs to be quoted, if somewhere like c:\program files\ is used.

For other platforms, sudo apt-get install rtmpdump or there are download sites such as this http://trick77.com/downloads/, then set the path if required as above.

You also need to set a location for storing downloads.

script failed: plugin.video.demand5
i get this error with 4od as well

It seems as though Channel 4 might have changed the version number of the .swf file again.

Things were working ok with it until today. If the dev is still reading this thread, any chance of an update with the new version number in the file (if it is that)?

Pretty please?

:-)

... read and inwardly digest! Windows is WINDOWS not Apple!

Working here just fine. I agree, if people are unable to read information properly, then its no wonder they are unable to get stuff to work.

- Mighty_Diamond - 2012-02-26

To note, Im using Beta3. Maybe upgrade if its not working for you...

- ricciano - 2012-02-26

brilliant info, thanks... works fine.

- lusephur - 2012-03-03

edits suggested for the default.py are working fine.
As for geolocation? Does 4od use geolocation? I'm not in the uk and it's always worked for me. iPlayer and ITV catchup required a proxy though.

Eden RC2 Win 7 Home Premium - works a treat UNTIL the program hits the first ad break and then just bails out. Same applies to downloading - just downloads to first ad break.

Any others having this issue?

- gravender - 2012-03-04

Any advice would be much appreciated! Neither this plugin nor the ITVPlayer or Demand 5 plugins are working for me (though iPlayer and CatchupTV work beautifully).

Running XBMC Eden 11.0-RC1 on Ubuntu Oneiric on Acer Revo R1600 (NVIDIA Ion with 295.20 drivers). RTMP is version 2.4.

My logfile is here:

The issue seems to be a 'handshake failure', but I haven't a clue how to fix this! All help and advice gratefully received.
