RE: [dev] CetonTV+HDHomeRun - Watch TV on XBMC (WIN/OSX) - tallnerd1985 - 2013-08-08 Hey mcheng89, here is an interesting thing done to eliminate the need for VLC and just use FFMPEG directly in your PVR server. http://www.silicondust.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=14612 http://jonmaddox.com/wallop/ RE: [dev] CetonTV+HDHomeRun - Watch TV on XBMC (WIN/OSX) - cinemagic - 2013-08-09 Can anybody help me, I can not watch premier channels(encrypted channels). always show error VLC failed stream . access denied. I have cetonTV pci card with optimum m card. Do you mean premium channels or encrypted channels (almost every channel is encrypted, not all are premium)? If you mean premium channels then you're out of luck - those only work in WMC. Premium channels (flagged as CCI 1 by your content provider) require a certification process to decrypt which costs something like $10,000 and thus these only work in WMC. Anything marked CCI 0 (copy freely) should work properly. I did write the server to use ffmpeg at one point. I actually fixed some transcoding issues (patched vlc transcode dll) for tv commercials in VLC, and I assume they might exist in ffmpeg still. Here is a couple things that would be nice to have 1) Linux support for servers and NAS 2) Edit the channel lineup in the webui 3) TV channel logos Other than that, I would say going back to FFMPEG in your server should help reduce dependencies on 3rd party software of another 3rd party software. VLC is nice but when running a headless server, it only complicates things and such unless VLC can run headless without the GUI and such. Many times I have to press escape or "x" to close the add-on. Sometimes I'm left closing and restarting xbmc. I'll look into this. Updated todo: - remove unused channel group code - in progress - infinitv 6 support - cleanup some transcoding code for commercials - edit the channel lineup in the webui - fix logos (My Channel Logos app) - web interface tweaks - mute/stop - mobile interface update - windows service/tray icon? - plex channel - desktop client - wmc friendly - linux support - handle errors in xbmc plugin more gracefully RE: [dev] CetonTV+HDHomeRun - Watch TV on XBMC (WIN/OSX) - tallnerd1985 - 2013-08-13 You forgot Linux support RE: [dev] CetonTV+HDHomeRun - Watch TV on XBMC (WIN/OSX) - maseline_98 - 2013-08-13 (2013-08-13, 02:09)maseline_98 Wrote:(2013-04-03, 05:54)mcheng89 Wrote:(2013-04-03, 04:48)Wuping Wrote: Yes I have the latest firmware installed *20130328*, I get a lineup.json file when I run http://<hdhomerun ip>/lineup.json?show=unprotected. RE: [dev] CetonTV+HDHomeRun - Watch TV on XBMC (WIN/OSX) - captaintrap - 2013-08-13 this seems to be the most recent project going on with infinitv m card support. i ran a search through this thread for windows 8 and found nothing. I am running: - windows 8 x64 pro with no windows media center add on installed, -infinitv cablecard tuner -optimum m card activated (464 channels found) Is WMC required to get this running? If no, I will start from page 1 to get your plugin installed. Sorry as im very new to this and super frustrated. Will this solution work for this device? Thanks in advance.
