if the script can't get anything from the net the mediacenter just hangs. it would be nice if there was some kind of a timeout or at least if the "cancel" button would work.

hi good news some developers has made a script downloading code that is for phyton devs that makes scripts going on the net. the code will have timeout and cancel working ok.

this is a convenience script that makes it easier to write download code for xbmc.
features
timeouts (antifreeze), cache, cookiesupport, useragent, can evaluate relative urls, cancel-able progress bar (optional).
new in v0.8: cookiesupport and cachelocation moved to z partition
so be patient, phyton developers will take use of this code in time.
