Hi Just realized there is a separate thread for requesting stream help. Re-posting from the main thread:

I am trying to add a url that works in windows media but doesn't play in xbmc and needed some help:
The stream url is dynamically generated (and expires if not opened within a minute) from this
url

Here is an example of what the generated stream url looks like (the hash value and server time changes each time):
http://89.248.162.177:911/live/humtv.wsx?server_time=3/13/2012 4:45:49 AM&hash_value=L2ynLhSUcCzTmUyQkyMJ8g==&validminutes=1

As soon as the url is generated, I can play the stream in windows media player (after replacing http:// to mms://) e.g.
mms://89.248.162.177:911/live/humtv.wsx?server_time=3/13/2012 4:45:49 AM&hash_value=L2ynLhSUcCzTmUyQkyMJ8g==&validminutes=1

But if I try to open the url in XBMC it does not start (I am sending a request to the php file from the python code and parsing the stream url and passing it to the player).
The log confirms I am parsing out the stream url correctly

Is it just a case of this type of url (.wsx) not being supported in XBMC? Have seen a few threads on playing wsx streams in XBMC but no definitive answer one way or the other.

Angelworld has already figured out the links for most of these . You can add the below url in your LiveStreams plugin:
http://desistreams.googlecode.com/svn/desistreams.xml

We are trying to maintain a complete list of desi links (inspired by what blackoutworm has done for english streams!), so if anyone manages to come up with others we don't already have, let us know

Any HD stream for IPL 2012 cricket lovers?? Starting from next month. UK channel iTV 4 HD is the broadcaster for this session. I couldnt find Its HD streaming link. Sad

is it there in Neo cricket or Ten cricket?...both are available in my xml.

Yes, till last night they were playing neo cricket....some error on their side, hence I havent taken the channel down...hopefully they will rectify the mistake. If they dont, I will just rename it as WIllow Cricket. I am looking for a alternative link too, just give me a few hrs. Was working on tamil and telugu channels so didnt get time to look into it yet.

Oh ok. Thanks for answering my question. Appreciate the efforts you guys are doing.
Neo is probably better than willow- i just wanted to watch the asia cup! I guess i can watch it on my laptop in the meantime and willow is not showing asia cup for some reason.

you can use any software that captures the links and get the rtmp out of it, and then use that info to build your XML element for the channel.

For example,

i used URL Helper to get the rtmp link plus other info, as below
rtmp://217.23.6.106/media<playpath>khantv <swfUrl>http://player.embedsports.com/player/player-licensed.swf <pageUrl>http://player.embedsports.com/player.php?id=live&vw=600&vh=430

and then make an xml element in this format:
<item>
<title>Neo Cricket</title>
<link>rtmp://217.23.6.106/media playpath=khantv swfUrl=http://player.embedsports.com/player/player-licensed.swf pageUrl=http://player.embedsports.com/player.php?id=live</link>
