RE: LiveStreams - request stream help here! - TMonte87 - 2012-05-10 06:36

Is it true that RTMPE is removed from XBMC? I own a dropcam and I want to get this stream into XBMC but it doesnt seem to play correctly. I have been able to download the stream using rtmpdump. Maybe I am creating XML content wrong?

Even if you pay and get a package, I wonder if those links can be captured and played in ATV. Also, I wonder if they are tokenized and/or change streams very often.

you know that ruijay. and i know it too. i was gonna get there.but i figured since leone1907 has been asking for this channel on multiple forums without making any progress whatsoever, he/she might figure it out too. the problem is leone1907 keeps posting the same page-link everywhere because we're greedy and only want a hd stream. i've asked for sd alternatives, but keep getting this link. so i guess there won't be any ligtv.

sorry my english is less
hd or sd does not matter
anyway,thanx.

it has nothing to do with your english leone1907. it has to do with the link you're providing. post a link to an open site and not one where you have to subscribe/pay and i'm sure we can help you more. you have to provide good info in order to recieve good help. Smile

this is the link that works in rtmpdump for downloading, the stream is not up at the moment but any help would be great!!

rtmpdump -r "rtmpe://stream.dropcam.com:1935/nexus" -a "nexus" -f "WIN 11,2,202,
235" -W "https://www.dropcam.com/flash/Viewer.swf?120426173513" -p "https://www.
dropcam.com/watch/642143bf06bb49a09b0525922b28a6e9" -C S:babe199f9df3414898a4e0c

this is the link for xbmc made out of the provided data:
rtmpe://stream.dropcam.com:1935/nexus/642143bf06bb49a09b0525922b28a6e9 swfUrl=https://www.dropcam.com/flash/Viewer.swf?120426173513 pageUrl=https://www.dropcam.com/watch/642143bf06bb49a09b0525922b28a6e9 live=1

you don't really need the -C data for xbmc, nor -f.

let me know if it worked Smile

Hey thanks (for the links and updating your xml)...any idea why the rtsp link doesn't work for me on win 7? I'm running xbmc 11.0...do I still need to update some libs in my setup?
