RE: [SUPPORT] Hulu Video Plugin - learningit - 2014-03-25 Same as below RE: [SUPPORT] Hulu Video Plugin - learningit - 2014-03-25 (2014-03-25, 21:29)learningit Wrote: "So let us not talk falsely now, the hour's getting late". Enough said already. I'm surprised that the moderators haven't banned me already for being a fool. RE: [SUPPORT] Hulu Video Plugin - moneymaker - 2014-03-25 all Fellas, could you please calm down?! Some of you are acting like some freaky bitches here. Addicts! If you want to have necessarily a working add-on so let out your frustrations on HULU inc. and not here with us. No more useless discussions about "violating community rules". Just respect "learningit" decisions. Should we have a working version, I'll post an update. As I have already mentioned: (2014-03-23, 11:27)moneymaker Wrote: Hulu will still make more changes and therefore it is useless now to deal with the problems. RE: [SUPPORT] Hulu Video Plugin - rajb245 - 2014-03-26 Does anyone know of documentation for this "SWFVerification Type 2", and what it might take to implement this upstream in rtmpdump? My cursory search through the rtmpdump mailing list archives doesn't turn up any currently active development on this front. RE: [SUPPORT] Hulu Video Plugin - tricky2lu - 2014-03-26 NO ! Which XBMC skin are you using in the picture examples above? I like it! It's done by Ronie and is the best one for HD TV in my opinion. For those who can live with commercials and can install Chrome, the following are the instructions to get the hulu addon to work with chrome. It requires a one line change to the hulu addon and a modification or creation of playercorefactory.xml. http://pastebin.com/H0eYU4pq With this change you can use all your existing strms and play from your library, as well as the hulu addon. You cannot (or at least I can't) control volume, fast fwd, etc. from a remote, but it does work to play a video. You may need to tailor to your specific install. One other thing - you need to login into your Hulu account in Chrome and leave it logged (you can close Chrome) in to play some movies and tv that require age verification. While nice that it works for "that one platform" is by no means a working addon. We need the core issue resolved in order to get back what we had a few weeks ago. In my case I work on four different platforms, ubuntu, xbox (first gen not this one crud) windows, and osx (ppc mind you) --Also have five RPi's to replace the appletv's when needed one day years from now cause my xbox is rocking with http://pastebin.com/H6uNUR16 and http://pastebin.com/REJt5MuV (goodness on my 10 year old xbox!!! this was a e:\apps\xbmc full load I cleared off 1.8gb for this gem!) RE: [SUPPORT] Hulu Video Plugin - KonaHilo - 2014-03-27 Hi learningit. Thanks for your continuing efforts. I've been looking for other ways to accomplish the twin goals of being able to use XBMC as well as being able to watch HuluPlus, Netflix, etc. I'm looking at the Matricom G-Box MX2. It's an HTPC that runs Android 4.2.2 and also includes a 'Special Edition XBMC' (whatever that is). The recommended model iincludes their 'G-Mouse II' remote/keyboard. You can surf the web with it, too. Maybe an end run around the problem since Hulu has an app for Android (jellybean) and presumably intends to support it. The thing's kinda pricy, though. RE: [SUPPORT] Hulu Video Plugin - dcodea - 2014-03-27 Hi learningit, thanks for your work on this plugin- I've having a problem with your chrome solution. The plugin launches chrome with the correct hulu address, but in a new tab of my last chrome session, not fullscreen and not kiosk; Then the next time I run chrome, the hulu stand alone player is there in that tab, after leaving XBMC. Any idea what might be causing that? I think this is the relevant portion of my log http://pastebin.com/7mCvqCVh RE: [SUPPORT] Hulu Video Plugin - lewis.donofrio - 2014-03-27 (2014-03-27, 02:55)dcodea Wrote: Hi learningit, thanks for your work on this plugin- I've having a problem with your chrome solution. K I've been guilty of topic hopping as well but let us keep this discussion to python scripts and the like, this is *not* boxee and we do *not* have or need a browser for this solution. Time will tell. Any idea what might be causing that? My guess is that you login to a chrome account. If you do, try logging out then running xbmc. Also make sure that chrome isn't running when you start xbmc. Chrome is a bit finicky and tends to keep it's settings from the last session. You can have a look at the possible different command line options here: http://peter.sh/experiments/chromium-command-line-switches/ . I personally don't use chrome and am not that familiar with it. The chrome solution won't work for everyone, but it may be a stop gap for some until someone figures out how to fix the addon, that's why I offered it. This only needs a one line change and can easily revert back to the original. Chrome is available for windows, OS/X, IOS, linux and there's a couple of versions for raspberry pi. It's not Chrome for the Raspberry Pi it's Chromium. Chrome is Chromium plus several non-free non-open-source plugins And Chromium does NOT come with a flash plugin and to my knowledge there is not a flash plugin for the the raspberry pi. Adobe also no longer supports flash on Linux, Google is now supporting it but i'm unsure if there version supports everything and they only have x86 and x64 builds that are included in chrome, no ARM build that would be needed for the pi. IOS Chrome also can not play flash. |
