xbmc crashing - bdee1 - 2012-02-03 I have eden beta 1 with the night skin and every time i play a movie from my movie library, xbmc crashes and goes out to the main appletv menu. what weird is if i play the movie by going into files , it will play. and if i go into the hd movies area of the night skin it plays fine. i noticed thatwhen i was in debug mode, if i gointo themovie library the cpu jumps from 66% up to 96%. the debug log can be found here: http://pastebin.com/tBGhi6Sn any ideas what the problem might be? - crawl - 2012-02-03 You might try switching to Confluence skin and testing. Might be the skin. - g-off - 2012-02-03 If xbmc crashes back to lowtide then you should provide a crashdump and syslog. Also - update to beta 2. It is less "crashy". - bdee1 - 2012-02-03 How do I provide a crash dump an syslog? Also what's the process to update to beta 2? - chuckles - 2012-02-03 bdee1 Wrote:How do I provide a crash dump an syslog? its all there in g-off's sig - Memphiz - 2012-02-03 First link in my signature and the FAQ link in my signature will guide you. (well my signature is the "dev" here which works hardest for us ... ) - bdee1 - 2012-02-03 thanks - i didnt see that in the signature at first so i looked for a crashreporter log and the most recent one is AppleTV_2012-01-23... so it seems that there was no crashreport for the crashed I experienced last night. I also just looked at the syslog and the latest entries are form Jan 23rd. so nothign from last night. seems weird. I posted both of them anyway in case it helps... The syslog was actually huge so pastebin wouldnt let me paste the whole thing in there. All i could get to fit were the entries from Jan 23rd. they can be found here: http://pastebin.com/pgyFT18G the crashreport from jan 23rd can be found here: http://pastebin.com/zyTh52QK hopefully this helps - let me know if you are able to find anything. - Memphiz - 2012-02-03 update to beta2 and see if its already fixed... - bdee1 - 2012-02-03 Memphiz Wrote:update to beta2 and see if its already fixed... Ok so is this the correct method? SSH and then then run the following commands: apt-get update apt-get install org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2 - g-off - 2012-02-04 That is what it says in the FAQ. |
