I'm surprised you haven't started directing people to these builds who want HD audio in your large and well viewed thread on the subject. It's certainly superior to having to screw around with old patch builds or custom external players ... or, dare I say it, dsplayer builds. - bluray - 2012-02-25 04:06 voip-ninja Wrote:I'm surprised you haven't started directing people to these builds who want HD audio in your large and well viewed thread on the subject. It's certainly superior to having to screw around with old patch builds or custom external players ... or, dare I say it, dsplayer builds. If you visit the threads in my signature, you'll notice that I mentioned these patches on my threads. I informed dozen others through PM's and threads. Regarding external player users, we're the other 1% (I still playback most of my BD ISO and Index.BDMV files using TMT5). We're using external player to enjoy the original blu-ray disc menus, chapters, previews, 3D, bitstreaming, etc, and some external player users don't even have AVR for bitstreaming! ![]() We use TMT5/PowerDVD11 as XBMC external player because we want the stuffs in the screen shots below. We still can enjoy XBMC for front-end too. To us, it's good for both worlds! ![]() ![]()
- TRaSH - 2012-02-25 14:11 want to check with some people here who use this great patch/fix. it seems i got some add-on updates: IMDB XBMC Libary Auto Update. Weather Underground. but when i want to update nothing happens. could someone confirm if they got the same issue. so i now if it's because of this patch or something else. Thnx - Martijn - 2012-02-25 14:25 TRaSH Wrote:but when i want to update nothing happens. remove addons15.db and restart There seem to be some random issues with it that we can't really grasp - TRaSH - 2012-02-25 15:09 i did that but without luck, even uninstalled the plugin and tried to install it again. but that didn't even work. System: Vanilla onboard hdmi intel i3 2100 bluray copies m2ts using dvdfab to an onkyo tx-sr608 - voip-ninja - 2012-02-26 05:29 As long as it is windows only it can't be part of the main release. - DanielaE - 2012-02-26 10:32 Too bad, it seems like there's nobody coming up with a patch to the audio renderer of their favourite platform - a single source file sitting in xbmc/cores/AudioRenderers. I have no Linux, BSD or Mac development system around to implement and test the missing - probably tiny - pieces myself. It should be as easy as that, everything else is platform independent. - WiSo - 2012-02-26 10:46 Take your time. We can push it after Eden for a 11.1 release or similar. We'll try to get it into master even when the other platforms aren't ready yet. You'll see how fast they respond when this hits master
- P-I H - 2012-02-26 16:18 This is a fantastic achievement. My HTPC has an AMD Radeon 5450 card with Catalyst 11.8. The reciever is a Harman Kardon AVR 355. PC audio is set to 192/24. I am using DDDamien's build and it works OK, but switching between formats doesn't always work. I have used these formats DTS HD Master Audio, DTS-HD High Resolution, DTS 96/24, DTS, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital, PCM and also mkv files recorded by Tvheadend. Switching between HD formats always work, but switching from a HD format to a non HD format always fails the first time and the reciever shows the first format. In case I continue to switch between formats, it starts to work after a couple of times and from now on it always work. I have tried to identify a pattern, but I can't find any. In case nobody else has this problem I suppose it is related to my configuration. |
