RE: [WINDOWS][PATCH]Bitstream output of HD audio formats - bluray - 2012-04-18 If you want to know what audio is included in your blu-ray disc movie, you can verify it on this site- Blu-ray Disc Statistics or MediaInfo RE: [WINDOWS][PATCH]Bitstream output of HD audio formats - Phantom_Zone - 2012-04-18 (2012-04-18, 23:21)steelman1991 Wrote:(2012-04-18, 22:31)Phantom_Zone Wrote:Check that your windows sound settings are set to 5.1 (or whatever config you have) Its the only way I could effectively playback lpcm and flac tracks as they cannot be bitstreamed AFAIK, but require decoding before being passed to the receiver as LPCM. No doubt DanielaE or DDDamien will confirm/correct this info in due course.(2012-04-18, 21:53)OtisPresley Wrote: This would indicate a problem with LPCM then. All of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies have LPCM audio tracks on the Blu-Ray release...mine all do anyway, and my receiver indicates MULTI CHANNEL when playing them meaning that it detected LPCM. Kill Bill, 300, Hidalgo, and 3:10 to Yuma have LPCM tracks as well if you have any of those to try and see if they exhibit the same behavior. Ah dim it is then I recently reloaded Windows on my main HTPC and forgot to do that!!! Many thanks! I'm always getting the impression this is a bad sequel of the movie The Men Who Stare at Goats: The Coders Who Stare at Logs, that is. I made a few sample but, unfortunately, I can't reproduce the problem. I believe the problem occurs when the DVD switches from the menu (with DTS audio) to the main movie (DTS-ES audio). If I go straight to the main movie, it plays fine. Oh well, don't lose any sleep over it. As I said, it happens only with this particular DVD and I have the movie on Bluray anyway And a final note: DolbyDigital EX shows as plain DolbyDigital in OSD and AVR. Is this normal? RE: [WINDOWS][PATCH]Bitstream output of HD audio formats - m0bbed - 2012-04-19 Hi, is the "XBMCSetup-11.0+HD-audio Windows installer" based on the final Version of XBMC 11.0 Eden? regards m0bbed RE: [WINDOWS][PATCH]Bitstream output of HD audio formats - SkItZo - 2012-04-19 Once again, Thanks for all the outstanding work done on this patch guys RE: [WINDOWS][PATCH]Bitstream output of HD audio formats - DanielaE - 2012-04-19 (2012-04-19, 14:30)m0bbed Wrote: is the "XBMCSetup-11.0+HD-audio Windows installer" based on the final Version of XBMC 11.0 Eden? The most recent build is post-Eden. OK. Thanks. I had "XBMCSetup-11.0+HD-audio-20120325-dx.exe" as the latest version and I've seen that some days ago has appeared "XBMCSetup-11.0+HD-audio-20120417-2f965ac-dx.exe". I'll give it a try. I'll try too the MKV slowness. RE: [WINDOWS][PATCH]Bitstream output of HD audio formats - DanielaE - 2012-04-19 As usual, my latest build is linked in post #1 of this thread. That build is the only one that I care about. This is a development thread in the first place ... RE: [WINDOWS][PATCH]Bitstream output of HD audio formats - Nimo - 2012-04-19 i tried the latest build with an intel hd 2000 and it works well. and I find stereo sound clearer. RE: [WINDOWS][PATCH]Bitstream output of HD audio formats - Roman_V_M - 2012-04-21 Here's Russian translation for the latest Eden including strings from HD audio build: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/24356082/XBMC-HD_strings_RU.zip RE: [WINDOWS][PATCH]Bitstream output of HD audio formats - serieofilo - 2012-04-22 Hi, I'm using latest version of DanielaE (the build from April 17th) and I get the following error message: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Program: D:\SOFT\XBMC\XBMC.exe File: libavformat/utils.c Line: 2195 Expression: s->chapters[i]->start<=s->chapters[i+1]->start After enabling debug and read xmbc.log I've found that the problem was the latest video file added to a source directory while trying to scan for new content. The properties of this file are the following: Code: General Surely is nothing related to the DanielaE build but a bug in XBMC for this file so my question is the following: do you know why XBMC is crashing? It seems something about the chapters or the format. But I've tried to convert to MKV (using Handbrake) and I cannot get the audio off the MP4 file. Any idea would be very appreciated. Thanks. RE: [WINDOWS][PATCH]Bitstream output of HD audio formats - bluray - 2012-04-22 (2012-04-22, 01:05)serieofilo Wrote: Hi,Your HTPC might need this- The Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package RE: [WINDOWS][PATCH]Bitstream output of HD audio formats - serieofilo - 2012-04-22 Hi bluray, Is not related to the runtime. If I move the MP4 outside of the library XBMC doesn't crash. I have the following runtimes installed: - Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 redistributable - x64 9.0.30729.6161 - Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 redistributable - x86 9.0.30729.6161 - Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 redistributable - x64 10.0.30319 - Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 redistributable - x86 10.0.30319 All of them are the latest patched versions of the redistributables. In fact, if I use Handbrake v0.9.5 for converting I get the error "Your source may be copy protected, badly mastered or in a format which HandBrake does not support". If I use v0.9.6 then I can convert to MKV but I can't see the audio in the MP4 file so the final MKV gets no audio. I'll post a question in the HandBrake forums for converting but I'm interested in knowing why XBMC can't use this file if I can play it with WMP or MPC-HC. Thanks. |
