TWIT Add-On Broken? - jingo_man - 2012-02-10

Recently (last week or 2) I am no longer able to use the available TWIT add-on to view content from the site. I have version 0.1.3.

If I download the files from the site, or use AirFlick on my mac and copy the web link from the page, it plays without issue.

Hi, it seems for a lot of the shows that the higher bitrate streams aren't available anymore Sad maybe this is temporary??

Setting the add-on setting for video quality to bitrate 500 should work. If your still having trouble, please http://pastebin.com your xbmc.log and post the link.

Setting the video quality to 500 seems to guarantee that the video will play. I had mine set at 2000, and This Week in Tech and Tech News Today were fine, but This Week in Google didn't play until I changed the quality setting to 500.

Yes! Of course! I completely forgot about this setting in the plugin having never had to revisit it since originally setting it.

I do hope they return to allowing 2000kbps streams, and there should be no reason why not given the TWiT house's expanded capabilities these days. I think they maybe getting a little lazy... Noticed an increasing amount of shows that don't have the video stream available until a couple of days after the shows. Maybe an email or something to the guys to remind them...

But thanks for the replies. Issues answered, if not resolved!
