Hi:
I'm currently on Boxee and thinking of doing an XBMC switch, does XBMC only catalog hard drive content from selected folders? or can you have/create web-tv channels of web content like they are on Boxee? cbc.ca, globaltv.com, etc...

Web content comes in the form of addons and typically come pre-categorized with data. At the moment, these new web-based folders cannot be placed in your library, but they remain fairly easily accessible.
