RE: [WIP] PVR Client Addon for XBMC for EPG and full control of Dreambox and DBox2 - jdembski - 2013-03-22

The EPG is pulled from the enigma2 box - so I don't see your problem. Configure your box to have EPG data available, and then you will also have EPG within XBMC.

Personally I'm simply using the EPGRefresh plugin on my enigma2 box to populate the EPG data over EIT. In Germany the EIT EPG (the EPG that is being transmitted with the transport stream) is normally quite good, so I'm not using anything else. But of course there are other many other plugins that are able to fetch EPG data from numerous sources...

Regarding the channel switch time: I didn't time it, but it feels like something about 10 seconds...

Ok...maybe I am doing something wrong? As alot of missing epg data for me... also using the digiguide data I get 14 days but on my vu+ duo I only get 7

You can configure the timespan under settings->LiveTV. I think 7 days is the xbmc Default which you can change.

Sorry, I misread this. So you don't have the epg on your VU+...I think you should ask in a forum specialised to the VU in order to get this sorted out.

Hey. Great addon, thanks for it. Having trouble to get it to work right, 1st I've installed it on my macmini and all worked great except HD channels - was no streaming. But i could watch previously recorded HD channels so i guessed it wont be a big problem to get them work right.
Then to test how my other xbmcs will react I've installed addon to my desktop win7 and macbook pro (all frodo) and there were the same problem - all working well except HD channels. Then i got back to my first installed mac mini and discovered that now all channels refuse to work. Other functions work great. Then I've checked if it did happened to macbook's and win7's xbmc and it did - lost streaming ability there too.
Tvbox is 800 hd. Can some1 help me to get it right?

First check whether you are able to stream via the web interface.

Well the latest on the Openvix downloads website is 3.0.627 so should be ok. I usually do my updates OTA

Ok, I had a look and found out that this is an issue in openwebif: If I try to get the 'deviceinfo' then the only thing that it sends back is a python stacktrace.

For now I opened a Pull Request which disables the call to 'deviceinfo' completely

I still have this problem, just flashed the latest OpenVix (632 build). I'm not sure at what build it started to go wrong.
Is there a fix coming or should I flash an earlier openvix image. If so, what build should I flash?

Hey buddy flash the version before 632 for now (think its 627) that's what I did.

RE: [WIP] PVR Client Addon for XBMC for EPG and full control of Dreambox and DBox2 - Jönke - 2013-03-31

First time with this addon and want to ask if there is a problem with the epg? Some programs are missing description in the xbmc epg (no problem in vu solo2 box) Did reset pvr and epg database but didnt completely solve the issue.

Will this addon benefit from FernetMentas channel switch speedup?

Anyway, good work !

[WIP] PVR Client Addon for XBMC for EPG and full control of Dreambox and DBox2 - jdembski - 2013-04-01

Check the debug Log whether the EPG data could be retrieved from the web interface.

Unfortunately, this addon does not benefit from fernet mentas change. For his change the backend must provide a continuous data stream. So unless someone with the skill / knowledge can change this in the enigma2 firmware we won't have these fast zapping times as on the other backends. :(

Check on the vu box under your webif settings that you have this XBMC service rename option on. For me that fixed some channel naming problems

Hi,

I am a noob so unable to add the timeslip feature to the code, Is the Timeslip feature far off from being implemented to this great pvr?

RE: [WIP] PVR Client Addon for XBMC for EPG and full control of Dreambox and DBox2 - jdembski - 2013-04-12

There is a typo in the settings.xml file. I have created a PR for it, but you can edit it yourself if you want to:

In the settings.xml file (this file is in the pvr.vuplus/resources addon folder) fix the typo:

Code:
-    <setting id="iconpath" type="folder" label="30008" enable="e1(-1, false)" default="" />
+    <setting id="iconpath" type="folder" label="30008" enable="eq(-1,false)" default="" />

If no picon path is selected, then the addon should fetch the picons from the webinterface automatically. Can you see the picons in your webinterface?
