XBMC transfer speed slower than normal - kedda - 2012-03-12
All,
I have tested file transfer speeds over FTP and HTTP on my machine. I typically get about 9 MB/s when downloadign a file over FTP or HTTP. However, inside of XBMC on the SAME machine I get no better than 4 MB/s which leads to buffering on certain files.
Anyone else experiencing this?

Are you on Eden? I'm seeing something similar when trying to play back MythTV recordings within XBMC. They work fine external to XBMC but not within it.

Yes, I have seen this with EDEN Betas and RCs. I dont understand why.

I'm going to try wiping my settings, or potentially even wiping the complete install and starting over. I did an XBMC install on another machine today and it worked fine - no issue whatsoever. Maybe it's related to upgrading from the earlier betas...
