I posted this similar query on the "New XBMC Plugin with EPG function" thread, over at the TVC forum:

"TVcatchup EPG plugin for XBMC not working"

There was no mention over at TVC of others with same problem. It's exactly the problem described here by 'jadam' and occurs on all my devices including Ras Pi and Win 7.
(2013-10-17, 11:08)jadam Wrote: I'm not sure if it related but since yesterday when addon is started it pulls down the EPG info very slowly, sticking for a few minutes at 90% "creating program database", eventually completes but keeps repeating this so can't watch any streams.
I also asked on the same TVC forum post about the recent court case against TVC because I have seen no mention, from TVC, of how the judgement may impact TVC on XBMC. So far that post has not been 'published' - another reason for posting here.

Sorry, I answered u'r post on TVC's forum but forgot to approve it. It's all related to the server issue at the moment. My hosting company are being rubbish and have now stopped replying to my messages. I hope to sort it soon, even if I have to set up a new server.

Ok thanks for reply, best of luck with the server

Sorry,
I read further back, and my next question is probably better suited in another thread. Blush

It would be cool if there was any way xbmc could have a widget that can be supplied by addons like this. That way i could see on my homescreen what is on now and next on my favourite 5 channels for example.

anyone know if this is an idea that might be possible at some point? Can addons feed an xbmc widget?

Just a thought. Is there any formal place where i could put this suggestion?

I don't know about a widget as I don't know if they're possible or even where to start but, this is just a thought, how about an RSS feed maybe?

Hi
I am installing TVCatchup on a Raspberry Pi. I have it on a number of Android and apple devices and love it so need it on this new device.

The addon installs and displays on the Get Addon page but the sub folder is empty. I have downloaded and unzipped the dependencies.zip file and placed this in the xbmc/addons folder using WinSCP.

I am still getting nothing in the Get Addons folder.

Can someone please help?

Thank you

Try downloading the zip directly from http://plugins.tvcatchup.com/~xbmc/addons/script.tvcatchup/. Sometimes the repo doesn't seem to populate properly.

Sorry but no, TVC block all VPN's and proxys. As for which one to use, the 2.0 with EPG is the one I maintain. The other only gets updates every so often, when I remember lol

Hi, hoping someone can help. I'm getting an error after the ad loads ' Playlist, Cannot find next item to play'

RE: [RELEASE] TVCatchup.com 2.0 with EPG - dj_gerbil - 2014-02-13

Can you tell me if it's one channel or all, which streaming protocol you've selected ie RTMP or HTTP, what quality and most importantly what the plugin has written in the Log File about the error?

RE: [RELEASE] TVCatchup.com 2.0 with EPG - jadel - 2014-02-16

Hi

Is it possible to disable epg completely and just select channels directly?

I have no problem with watching tvcatchup in chrome but the listings on this addon will not download. They get to 99% and then error saying you have a vpn or something.

RE: [RELEASE] TVCatchup.com 2.0 with EPG - dj_gerbil - 2014-02-16

Do you have a VPN?

Just to be clear, you are saying your addon makes no attempt to block users with VPN, it is solely from TVCathup's end ?
