If no NFO don't add to library - macdo03 - 2012-03-20

Hello,

I have been reading these forums for a while to get my set up just right but haven't made any posts.

Is it possible for XBMC to not add a film/tv show to the library if there is no associated nfo file? In fact I'm sure that XBMC used to function like this but then I reinstalled it so perhaps there is an option that hasn't been checked.

The reason that I need this is because I don't want XBMC to add files that I haven't scanned with mediacompanion yet. Then I'll be able to setup auto update library an only items scanned with mediacompanion will be added.

Thanks

I would suggest moving those unscanned files into a different folder...it would be simple and probably easier to organize in the long run, especially if as you increase your media library.

Thanks for the tip. It's not the most convenient method but it works better than either waiting to scan my library until I have run my media through mediacompanion.
