RE: [RELEASE] XBMC Subtitles - Addon Script - amet - 2013-06-19

I see Ondertitel doesnt find anything, why Opensubtitles has an issue is beyond me..

RE: [RELEASE] XBMC Subtitles - Addon Script - va-14 - 2013-06-20

What i see is that it says: 12:45:12 T:8060 DEBUG: ### [XBMC Subtitles-services.Ondertitel.service] - Failed to get url:http://ondertitel.com/zoeken.php?type=1&trefwoord=American+Pie
So failed to get, but why? when i go to that link in my normal browser i see all kind of subtitles

and by opensubtitles i see this error:
12:45:12 T:7612 ERROR: Control 120 in window 13000 has been asked to focus, but it can't

I think ondertitel is broken, read few pages back in this thread

this is not the error ^^ it has nothing to do with a search

RE: Cyrillic question - fredphoesh - 2013-06-21

Hello guys, I still have this problem, and did not get a response (AFAIK)
Is there a way to have the subtitle addon display cyrillic subtitles? All Russian subtitles I download appear as nonsense letters instead of russian cyrillic.
Thanks
Mark.

Usually getting subs in English is no problem, but when my Russian family comes to visit, I find that many of the russian subtitles get downloaded as garbage-gobbldigook... and I have to open the file in MS Word choosing Cyrilic then copy that text and paste to the subtitle file and save as unicode... which works ok, but is a work around.

Is it possible to add the ability for this Add-On to see this text as cyrillic unicode so it appears correctly? That would be great.

Cheers,

Mark.

Yes, I would like to know a bit more on this too, as I am trying to pull Chinese sub titles and it comes up as gobbledork.
Understanding that I should really be running a Chinese character input set..but thinking along these lines say my Samsung android phone can switch easily enough between the two, there has got to be a way of doing it..

Edit: I suppose the easy fix is not to have movie nights with Chinese girls..but that might be a bit hard as I live and work here Big Grin

RE: [RELEASE] XBMC Subtitles - Addon Script - amet - 2013-06-21

this is not the addon issue, look in XBMC settings-> video -> subtitles and set character set to suite your langage

Duh, thanks! Choosing Cyrilic there works perfectly.

Hi, any idea why the addon started crashing on me?
I posted a log here: http://pastebin.com/PhMFj9Es

If you could help me it'd be awesome Big Grin

EDIT: sorry, posted a no debug log Big Grin

RE: [RELEASE] XBMC Subtitles - Addon Script - andrewr01 - 2013-06-28

I saw this question had already been asked on this thread, but I didn't see any reply: could you please add an option to disable the subtitles if none of the ones tried are any good?

EDIT: Found another way from "Audio Settings": http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Subtitles#Changing_subtitle_settings_during_playback

Hey Amet,

My mate fixed the Ondertitel.com service and did a pull request.
Hopefully you can package it in the next version of the plugin Smile

Works fine here!
