RE: Allwinner A10 : Is XBMC ported to MALI-400MP ? - Snippo - 2012-06-16 17:27 I have two short questions about the Mele A1000: 1) Video hardware-acceleration does work on Android out-of-the-box, right? 2) Will the Mele A1000 get an update to Android 4.0 (ICS)? RE: Allwinner A10 : Is XBMC ported to MALI-400MP ? - j1nx - 2012-06-16 17:44 1) Yes 2) beta: https://www.wuala.com/zercosz/Mele%20A2000/Firmware/?key=ThisIsFC2012 RE: Allwinner A10 : Is XBMC ported to MALI-400MP ? - j1nx - 2012-06-16 18:14 Hmmm Jean-luc already looked into it and there apears to be an issue with the 3.0.31 kernel and the MK802. So for now you have to use the 3.0.8 kernel. Anyway, Jean-luc made a nice script a couple of days ago, similar as the one from linaro. If you want to use 12.04, you might be better of building it yourself using the Linaro rootfs as that is really optimized for ARM http://www.cnx-software.com/2012/06/13/hardware-packs-for-allwinner-a10-devices-and-easier-method-to-create-a-bootable-ubuntu-12-04-sd-card/ RE: Allwinner A10 : Is XBMC ported to MALI-400MP ? - gimli - 2012-06-16 18:44 (2012-06-16 10:42)Ribuck Wrote: Would just be nice to get an indicator of time, I.e. does gimli think it's going to be in the next month or next 3 month, 6 months etc. It is done when it's finished

I read that some users got their Mele A1000 deliverd from china with Build "apollo_mele-eng 4.0.3 IML74K 20120422 test-keys & google play (market)" which has market included and no FCs. Any idea where to get that build ? Is there any way to extract the rom from a device ? RE: Allwinner A10 : Is XBMC ported to MALI-400MP ? - Ribuck - 2012-06-16 22:53 Can I ask what util people are using to write the ics image to SD as I tried a couple of apps and it wouldn't boot yet Ubuntu imaged booted perfect RE: Allwinner A10 : Is XBMC ported to MALI-400MP ? - d1dd1 - 2012-06-16 23:35 I use Phoenixcard which is in the original Mele firmware update packages to write the image on the SD. I made firware updates, didn't try to boot the ROMs from SD. RE: Allwinner A10 : Is XBMC ported to MALI-400MP ? - Ribuck - 2012-06-16 23:38 Tried phoenixcard from win7 but it just keep bombing out, maybe I'll try windows xp |
