RE: Antec ISK 300-65 HTPC A6-3500 Very Quiet! - Sdpbc - 2012-04-24 02:57 Curious, why would the Scythe 1100 fit without cutting given it is taller than the 2100? Is it the width of the fan the gets the 2100 in trouble? Too bad the thermaltake doesnt seem to exist in Canada! RE: Antec ISK 300-65 HTPC A6-3500 Very Quiet! - eskro - 2012-04-24 03:23 yeah the MeORD is basically un'findable in CANADA.... and your right, the 1100 fits just rights as its fan doesnt knock on the isk300-65's drive cage. at least, when used with the A75M-ITX mobo. perfect CPU socket orientation. Is it the width of the fan the gets the 2100 in trouble? Because one is 100mm the other is 120mm so 20mm wider.....(around 5MM more) the 120mm hits the side of the bracket just a little..... no worries cutting it ...... but its nice that the 100mm fits just right..... RE: Antec ISK 300-65 HTPC A6-3500 Very Quiet! - Sdpbc - 2012-04-24 03:34 Just the noise I'm concerned with. Though they seem to be rated almost identically which is odd. But either will be silent inside the case...... like I said I am going to try the 100mm in my next one. Oh and I can not compare temps.... because the 100MM is with a Phenom 4 ' I get 36C while just typing this..... the 120mm I get 29C 1080P movie 80F room..... RE: Antec ISK 300-65 HTPC A6-3500 Very Quiet! - eskro - 2012-04-24 03:36 yeah well, the 1100 is still silent since Beer40 owns it too and says it is. but it still requires some Fan Speed Tweaking in BIOS. as SCYTHE's 100mm fan is noisier then SCYTHE's 120mm fan... RE: Antec ISK 300-65 HTPC A6-3500 Very Quiet! - bluray - 2012-04-24 18:52 I wouldn't worry too much about the noise of the 1000 vs 1100 vs 1200.....you'll probably get more noises from AVR, ceiling fan, etc than the CPU fan. I'm still using stock CPU cooler, and I have to put my ear next to the case to hear it. I use this "Pyle PSPL01 Mini Digital Sound Level Meter" to calibrate my speakers level and to verify the overall room noises.....it's a cool little device.... RE: Antec ISK 300-65 HTPC A6-3500 Very Quiet! - eskro - 2012-04-24 20:30 hey beer40, can u try something 4me? monitor your APU temps when you turn OFF your CPU fan completely and while playing 1080P! i just wanna see if i could run the A6-3500 in the ISK110 case using the SCSBK-2100 cooler Without its Fan!! it might be pushing it a little bit but, still, it might be feasible!

I can't the PC tells me an error if the CPU fan is not plugged in.... hmmmm I can take the fan off and get it to the side..... lol dude run with a fan.... just get the 300-65 RE: Antec ISK 300-65 HTPC A6-3500 Very Quiet! "A6-PACK" - eskro - 2012-04-25 02:21 no dont unPLug the FAN, use HardwareMonitorPro or SpeedFAN to bring down the RPM to 0 ... i really need to know this, i just wanna see if i could run the A6-3500 in the ISK110 case using the SCSBK-2100 cooler Without its Fan!! thx
