Is this not needed with htpc's, or wouldn't help dissipate heat? Have never built a pc before so have no clue, but recall in the laptop forums this was a common tweak when upgrading cpu's. Most CPUs come from the OEM with thermal paste pre-installed on the factory heatsink. If you use an aftermarket cooler then they typically include some thermal paste in the package as well. |
