Plus if they exchange it then i will only need to add a little bit more. Anyone own one of these if so is the psu very loud It shuts of after a while. not only that if i keep my case open it takes time to shut off but if the case is on then it's about 20mins max then shuts off. It does not have a good power supply. If i had the chance again then i would not by this case cause it's to much trouble even tho it looks good RE: Antec ISK 300-65 HTPC A6-3500 Very Quiet! "A6-PACK" - r1lee - 2012-05-11 03:02 So it's a ventilation issue? Ever tried to underclock or undervolt the CPU to see if it addresses the issue? RE: Antec ISK 300-65 HTPC A6-3500 Very Quiet! Nope it looks like the internal PSU is weak... it does not like something. I even changed my RAM because when I took out one stick of my old RAM it worked .... it never shut off even when I Prime test it..... New ram came in it shuts off with both sticks in...... I know its not the ram slot either. Because it works fine with one stick on both slots..... Too much to type.... Anyways tomorrow.... I will test with a 350w PSU and see if I get the same results...... Here is my new RAM..... aint it pretty lol this means my old kingstone works..... it never got an error with MEMtest...So one stick of RAM no issues shutting off.... I can watch a whole movie. ![]()

MrKay you may get away with the one I am going to buy on post 555That should work for the A6-3500 lovers.....if my calculation is correct it is within the range of 50% to 70% of PSU spec! Silverstone built quality stuff..... (2012-05-11 01:08)Beer40oz Wrote: Yup $90 bucks....+1....it's pricey but it will be safer bet.... RE: Antec ISK 300-65 HTPC A6-3500 Very Quiet! "A6-PACK" - MrKay - 2012-05-11 03:38 My cpu cooler is very loud it's the Scythe Shuriken Rev. B 3 don't know why it's so loud. That killed building a quite htpc. it's like i have a psu when the rpm is at 1300 RE: Antec ISK 300-65 HTPC A6-3500 Very Quiet! "A6-PACK" - Beer40oz - 2012-05-11 03:39 EVERYONE STOP DON'T BUILD YET..... HAVING SOME PROBLEMS GOING TO SEE IF A PICO DE GALLO FIXES THE ISSUE. SEEMS THE STOCK PSU INSIDE HAS PROBLEMS... WILL UPDATE AS SOON... IF SO IT WILL NEED SOME CHIPS TOO.... Updated first post..... Get it.... ![]() ![]() ?With the A6-PACK RE: Antec ISK 300-65 HTPC A6-3500 Very Quiet! "A6-PACK" - bensl - 2012-05-11 04:10 i was just about to put an order in to build this same machine. i think i will wait to see what you find now first. many thanks for being the guinea-pig for all of us! much appreciated! also, been offered an asrock Z77E-ITX by a computer forum member (not this one). will this work in that case? am i better of sticking with the A75M-ITX? this board has wifi and hd audio which is appealing to me. http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=Z77E-ITX thanks RE: Antec ISK 300-65 HTPC A6-3500 Very Quiet! You're trying to decide on AMD and Intel mobos..... RE: Antec ISK 300-65 HTPC A6-3500 Very Quiet! "A6-PACK" - bensl - 2012-05-11 04:37 to be honest, im no computer guru, hence my idea just to copy this build. i just want a small htpc, that will be low power but perform well. i was going to add a usb wifi dongle to this build but i thought if the board has it that would be better - no?? thanks RE: Antec ISK 300-65 HTPC A6-3500 Very Quiet! If you want to build the same HTPC as OP with AMD A6-3500, you need AsRock A75M-ITX motherboard......as OP said, Antec 300-65 is having a little bit of problem with the included PSU. If you want to use the same case, you might need to replace the original PSU with Pico PSU..... FYI- Premium picoPSU-160-XT w/AC-DC 12V 192W 16A should be a sure thing according to this build: A8-3850 and Asus F1A75-I Deluxe "Black Beauty". If it can handles AMD A8-3850 and HD6670, it should be able to handle any AMD APU.....
