How to adjust default remote control buttons for hauppauge grey remote? - marcmerlin - 2012-04-08 I already had mythtv working on my htpc, and it took me a while to map remote keys to keyboard keys in .lircrc. When I setup xbmc, I was impressed that xmbc eden 'just worked' with my hauppauge remote, using default devinput mappings. I happen to have this remote: http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/PVR-350_Remote_Quick_Guide By reading the docs, I did find http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Remote_Control_Reviews http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Remote_Controls (it mentions Remote.xml but there is no such file) http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Keyboard.xml but it's not super clear how I can get a default mapping of how my remote keys are used, and modify that. If I want the rewind button to do jump back 10 seconds and now REW, how can I do this? I'd also love to map the back/exit button to ESC so that 'exit' lets me exit the current video as opposed to rewinding it a few seconds like it currently does. Also, I have a harmony remote, which I can reprogram to be an MCE remote if need be, but is there a point? Thanks, Marc RE: How to adjust default remote control buttons for hauppauge grey remote? - marcmerlin - 2012-04-17 Surely, there is a way do to this, no? |
