hello, i'am a new user with mytv and first i can tell you that the script is very nice.
nothing is perfect but the error sitting in front of the box. so i noticed that the tv egp with yahoo dosn't work proper when i changed from today to tomorrow.
i get the old informations. clearing the cache from the mytv menu dosn't help. but clearing the cache via ftp work.
any idea?
now i try to get it work with my hauppauge. so i have some feature request to handle the records. it isn't possible to clear a timer via mytv.
it would be nice to store the timers or favorites on smb so an second pc recorder programm can handle this.
extract the stings to an languange set. i will translate them for you.

can you let me know the setup of your yahoo datasource, ie country used ?
when you say go from today to tomorrow, do you mean directly selecting the next day using the nav lists at bottom of screen or scrolling fwd throu the day?
timers: mytv simply sets timers for the hauppauge tv card, it cant query it directly unlike the nebula tv card. new timers are saved to a local file. you can manually delete these using the 'manage timers' option in the mainmenu.
fav progs are also save to a local file and can be managed again fro the main menu.

thx...i used the german setting in the yahoo file. then i modifies the yahoo file in the cache folder to change the prg order and names.
i use the nav list button and select tomorrow. but i got the programmfiles form today but the screen said it's tomorrow.
using the timers i had a problem. i only use wp home edition so there is no schedule cmd. i guess i had to modify the savehauppage on my own. i guess i wrote a small java server an i implement the same feature to execute wintv.
i guess it's possible to manage the times in a better way. may be clearing a timer by save programm twice. but with java it's not possible to wake up.
than manage the timers from mytv via smb. so on pc i can use tv-browser to set local timers...
i guess a lot of work...

there was problem with the yahoo datasource - it used to be ok to specify midnight (in secs since epoch) for required day, but now its moved to 8am, regardless of what time progs start on that day. brain explosion trying to figure that one out.
anyway, i think its sorted and i'll send you a copy of it to dbl check it if you would?
timers: sorry, tbh, too much work as it does already work with xp pro. if you come up with a neat java solution maybe it can be included in the future ?

hey thx.. your datasource do what it promise me. the change to tomorrow or other day works well.
so i had to manage my timer problem. i don't want to update to xp pro. maybe i create another solution.

hi thanks for a great script. is it possible to add support for danish channels?
the xmltv grabber tv_grab_dk uses the following site: tv.tv2.dk
and a listing here http://tv.tv2.dk/tv/listning.php
alternately this site can be used http://www.dr.dk/tjenester/programoversigten/w3c/epg.asp
which has category information as well (genrer in the upper left corner) the tv2 above site requires a login for this information.

in conjunction with another user of mytv i'm in the process of creating a 'manual' datasource. the idea is that your own pc can grab the data and it creates the required listing datafiles.
so, your pc can grab the xmltv data and parse the files (which are too big for xbox to process in any sensible time). then mytv will just pull the files it wants from the pc via smb. this will cater for users of any xmltv grabbers (and of course users of any other form of listing grabber).
i'll check out the web based listings too. thanks for the links, the more the merrier

hey mate, great script! definetly the most useful one available.
im having a slight problem with it in conjunction with austv and ausrss. the script says fetch url error whenever i try to view it.
i am using the no tv tuner method. other tv guides work, such as the french selection.
perhaps the urls inside the .py file need to be updated? if so how can i go about doing this?

the yourtv.au site has changed and i cant get it working again at the moment. can anyone help / suggest an alternative that isnt so cookie heavy ?
the ausrss does still work thou (need mytv v1.11)

can someone please confirm the mytheatre_saveprogramme record function is working or not? i've everything in place and it does work however it always saves the first program channel in the mytheatre.py list. no matter what i try it only puts the first channel in the record bat file. i even changed the channel_codes in the mytheatre_saveprogramme to dutch channels but even then only the first channel in the list will be found and recorded. any help will be much appreciated. tia, peter
