hey billy,
just noticed 2 small interface things -

1. scroll to a channel other than that at position 1 - go into menu's - then return. returned to correct channel - but channel logo shows that of channel at position 1.

2. day lists disabled - scroll down beyond 1st page of listings, and the 2nd page (and subsequent) seem to have one less channel row visible (although this last one could be me!Wink

hope these are understandable - cheers !

jj.

thanks for that, i'll fix it.
i've got a few new datasources and some fixes ready for v1.12 (nothing earth shattering) but as xbmcscripts has dissapeared it'll have to wait.

- enigma9o7 - 2006-02-24

maybe you could put it on http://www.xbmcscripts.co.uk/ (uk mirror) in the meantime, as i'm sure some of us are anxious to try it, even if it isn't earthshattering, and who knows what's up with the main site.

- j_wikked - 2006-02-26

what is the status of http://www.yourtv.com.au?
are you going to try and keep it in this excellent script? it's by far the best australian tv guide, as far as customisation goes.

what if, for this to work for each individual, you make them put their cookie details into the coding, so it will work for them, instead of trying to make it universal?

if this is not possible, i still want to thank you for taking the time to make this excellent script, by far the most useful and most user friendly script around.

- BigBellyBilly - 2006-02-26

i'll give it another go with that site this week, if i can get something from it this week i'll include it otherwise its just the, rss feed, which isnt too bad.

one of the new datsource is to cater for ppl downloading listing data on a pc (xmltv setups etc). the pc would format the files and the datasource simply pulls them from pc share. that should cater for ppl who want to 'go it alone' with the listing data capture.

thanks for your support.

http://xbmcscripts.com/index.php?option=com_docman&task=search_result&itemid=array&search_mode=phrase&search_phrase=austvguide%20v1.2

here is a script that uses the yourtv.com.au (australian tv guide) site aswell.
it was updated today to allow for the changed layout of the website.

maybe this could help you, from what i remember of this script (haven't used it in a long time), it was ugly and hard to use.

hope this helps, if not, it's all good Smile

i've half fixed the austv datasource. it was a minor change to get the full days listing for the current day, however they've made other changes thats preventing me from getting a full days listings for future dates.
seems whilst future dates can still be accessed directly, they can now only be seen in period sections. ie early morning, afternoon, late etc

orig url which would give full day listing for a specific date:
http://www.yourtv.com.au/guide/index.cfm?action=sessiontimes&dates=2006-03-05+00:00:00

new url that gives data in periods:
http://www.yourtv.com.au/guide/index.cfm?action=sessiontimes&date=2006-03-05&period=1

(the above does require other cookies to have been set)

this just means i'll have to get each days periods in several fetches. i'm then going to write the parsed programmes from all the fetches into new delimited files.
this approach also means it will be much quicker to pull up the same days data again as its aleady parsed.

its a bigger fix but, because there seem to be quite a few ppl that have contacted me about this datasource, its worth the effort.
just thought i'd let you know i'm working on it.

hi bigbellybilly,

i dont know if you heard of the dreambox sat receiver before. but there are some models with a harddrive so they are pvrs. there is a web interface so you can add recordings etc, like program it to record match of the day on bbc1 london at 10.00pm on 11/3/2006. when your are setting a recording, the channel name is in hex(?) format and not just bbc1 london etc.

i can get a list of all the channels scanned in on the receiver by typing this into a web browser:
http://192.168.1.3/cgi-bin....nt=true

and some of the results are :

1:0:1:1af8:802:2:11a0000:0:0:0:;bbc 1 ci;bskyb;282
1:0:1:2841:7fe:2:11a0000:0:0:0:;bbc 1 e mids;bskyb;282
1:0:1:2842:7fe:2:11a0000:0:0:0:;bbc 1 east (e);bskyb;282
1:0:1:283e:7fe:2:11a0000:0:0:0:;bbc 1 n west;bskyb;282
1:0:1:2873:800:2:11a0000:0:0:0:;bbc 1 ne & c;bskyb;282
1:0:1:2870:800:2:11a0000:0:0:0:;bbc 1 s east;bskyb;282
1:0:1:1915:7ff:2:11a0000:0:0:0:;bbc 1 scotland;bskyb;282
1:0:1:2871:800:2:11a0000:0:0:0:;bbc 1 south;bskyb;282
1:0:1:283f:7fe:2:11a0000:0:0:0:;bbc 1 yrks&lin;bskyb;282
1:0:1:189e:7fd:2:11a0000:0:0:0:;bbc 2 england;bskyb;282
1:0:1:1920:7ff:2:11a0000:0:0:0:;bbc 2 ni;bskyb;282
1:0:1:1916:7ff:2:11a0000:0:0:0:;bbc 2 scotland;bskyb;282
1:0:1:190c:7ff:2:11a0000:0:0:0:;bbc 2w;bskyb;282
1:0:1:18af:7fd:2:11a0000:0:0:0:;bbc three;bskyb;282
1:0:1:18ac:7fd:2:11a0000:0:0:0:;bbc four;bskyb;282
1:0:1:18a0:7fd:2:11a0000:0:0:0:;bbc news 24;bskyb;282

so take bbc 2 england for example:
1:0:1:189e:7fd:2:11a0000:0:0:0:;bbc 2 england;bskyb;282

at 5.15pm today (monday) weakest link is on. with my remote i can check the epg for bbc2 england and this tells me weakest link is on and what it is about, duration etc. i can then add this to the recording timer by pressing the yellow button. which brings up info about the recording, start time etc.

now if i go to the web interface of the dreambox, and go to timer, i can see the recording i have just added.

if i added this recording through the web interface and not the remote the url command would be:
&type=44]http://192.168.1.3/addtime....ef=http

192.168.1.3 (ip of dreambox)
ref=1:0:1:189e:7fd:2:11a0000:0:0:0: (bbc2 england)
start=1141665300 (unix time format)
duration=2700 (in seconds)
type=44 (this just means to record to the harddrive, there are type's such as recording to your pc)

so im thinking it would be cool if i was using your great tv guide and saw a program that i would like to record. i could press the white button and have an option " record with dreambox". all the channels would have to be mapped to their reference numbers first of all. im no coder but would like to try and do something like this. but first of all, do you think it would be possible at all? Wink

there are xml based tv guides that run on the dreambox but the dreambox doesnt have the power to have a colourful full epg. and they only show a day or two of listings and tend to crash a lot. im trying to find out how they convert the xml data to dreambox timer format but have had no luck yet.

heres a site ( in german ) that i found with commands for controlling the dreambox. a lot of them have being implemented in the dreambox-tv script.
http://wiki.tuxbox.org/ehttp_api_doku (sections 4 and 5 dont apply to the dreambox as far as i know)

unix time conversion:

anyone have a clue how to change the norwegian nettavisen to get only the channels of your choice? would be much appriciated! :joker:

- BigBellyBilly - 2006-03-07

edit the channels file thats created in folder mytv\cache, removing/reordering channels as you want.

for those with an interest in the dreambox, its now being looked into.

v1.12 was uploaded to xbmcscripts.com last week. just waiting for it to appear now.

- dj_malo - 2006-03-07

ahh! thank u! guess i should have looked better! sorry for the use of ur time Smile keep up the good work! cheers

- dj_malo - 2006-03-08

maybe a pity question but i'll ask... i'm using mytv with the nettavisen config. but every program that uses the - doesn't show a -.(a line) it only shows a box instead. how can i fix this? is it the fonts in xbmc that needs a fix or can i implent it in the script? thanx

- BigBellyBilly - 2006-03-08

its caused by the decode('latin-1','replace') fnction thats applied to text thats read. it replaces all chars that it cant display with a square.

- dj_malo - 2006-03-08

ok! will it be possible to fix with a small code?

- enigma9o7 - 2006-03-09

i just installed v1.12, thanks for the update!

the zap2it datasource is no longer included, is there an alternative for us users?
